The Buryat state academic opera and ballet Theater The Buryat state academic opera and ballet theater is founded in 1939. For almost 70 years' activity the theater carried out statements more than 300 performances of world and domestic repertoire. The theater is located in one of the most beautiful and original buildings of the city of Ulan-Ude which is a monument of architecture of federal value. The building was under construction from 1945 to 1952 and is executed in style of a Stalin empire style with national decorative elements. The theater was given the status of especially valuable object of a cultural heritage of the people of Russia.
The Gostiny dvor The Gostiny dvor (Gostinodvorsky ranks) is one of the most considerable architectural and historical monuments of Ulan-Ude. The literary museum of Buryatia of Hots Namsarayev's The literary museum of Buryatia of Hots Namsarayev's name was open in 1989 to the 100 anniversary of the founder of the Buryat modern literature Hots Namsarayevich Namsarayev. The exposition contains unique materials on stories of the Buryat literature, since its sources, the richest folklore and writing origin. The exposition tells also about the first educators, teachers, about emergence of the 1st professional theater, about life and creativity of writers of the modern period. Today the Literary museum of Buryatia of Hots Namsarayev's name is storage of history of Buryatia in which there are masterpieces of the world literature, translated compositions of monuments буддизмара "Gandzhur" and "Danzhur", the heroic epos "Geser" which call "the Illiada of Central Asia".

Foreign languages are the most efficient means of international communication.
A couple of centuries ago, any intelligent person in the world knew several foreign languages. In many educational institutions, Greek, Latin and, of course, French were obligatory. Today, the availability of a certification of higher education does not yet guarantee that its master knows a foreign language. Nowadays, if you can not connect a pair of words in a foreign language, you can miss a lot in life.
So, the problem of learning foreign languages is very important today.
Purpose of my report: Show how in modern society people treat English as an International language and whether they consider it necessary

It is the language of literature, education, modem music, and international tourism.
English is the major language of diplomacy; it is one of the official languages of the United Nation organization and other political organizations.
Russia is integrating into the world community and the problem of learning English for the purpose of communication is especially urgent today.
One should say that English is not an easy language to learn.
There is a big problem of spelling, of the large number of exceptions to any rule.
This language is very idiomatic and the prepositions are terrible.
English is one of those languages which may seem easy in the beginning, but then the bridge between basic knowledge and mastery takes a long time to cross.
But if you cross this bridge it will give you great satisfaction.

To know English today is absolutely necessary for every educated man, for every good specialist.
English becomes the world's first universal language. It is native language for 500 million people in 12 countries. English, which is the most taught language, does not replace others languages and complements them. In Russia, where learning foreign languages for children is compulsory, most learn English. English prevails in transport and in the mass media Information. English is the language of travel and communication on international airlines. In all international airports, pilots and dispatchers speak English. People should understand that this is one of the main aspects of a developed modern person.
Usually English plays the role, but with the opening of new international companies, German, Spanish, French and even Chinese are in demand. It is assumed that a good modern specialist is a person who speaks English at the level that allows reading special literature. It also means self-training, self-education of students, knowledge of English helps to open one more accessible way of self-learning. This is the cognitive function of the English language as well as one of the main reasons for learning the language. English became the language of the XXI century - the century of technological progress and information technology.
Today, all instructions and programs for new gadgets are written in English. Scientific reports, articles, reports are published in English. 90% Internet resources - English-speaking. The overwhelming majority of information in all spheres - science, sports, news, and entertainment - is published in English.
Language is a tool that reveals to us new wealth and colors of the world. In addition, another language, reflecting reality in its own way, shows it to us from the other side or in a different light than our own. There will be a feeling that our vision becomes stereoscopic. We begin to see things that people who know only one language do not see. This allows you to see the whole picture at once. Imagine that when you are standing in front of your house, you see it immediately from all sides: right, left, behind, above, and even as an X-ray can look inside and find out what is happening there. It's not even all the possibilities that knowledge of other languages can give you! And the more languages we study, the more rich is our perception of the world around us.
In addition to all of the above, English is beautiful, melodic and easy to learn. English has one of the richest vocabulary in the world, but it has a simple grammar. The words themselves are attracted to each other, forming laconic and understandable sentences.
The international language should be simple and understandable. Perhaps we are very fortunate that it was such a simple language that united the world.
The results of the Interview:
80 respondents from among schoolchildren, university entrants and students were interviewed, where 88% of the students surveyed considered English to be necessary for work and to achieve a high social status in the society. There is a new trend: "knowledge of English is not a profession", as 66% of respondents think. But 84% of schoolchildren, university entrants and students are convinced that English is necessary for a developing society.
I also conducted my own poll. Respondents were students of school number 43 and students of "BKTIS" first and second year. I asked the students and students the following question: Is knowledge of English important in the profession?
The majority of the respondents identified two main positions:
- English is necessary for working in various fields, knowing the language will help to significantly increase the efficiency of work and reduce the time required.
- Knowledge of English is necessary for the development of society and the whole country as a whole and will help to follow the tendencies throughout the world.
The vast majority of respondents really believe that a foreign language positively affects our society and we need it. According to schoolchildren and students, such factors as communicativeness and the opportunity to use innovative technologies are the key to successful work, which, in their opinion, opens the way to future career growth. Therefore it is impossible to overestimate the informational, socially and spiritually forming opportunities that open up in English lessons in schools and universities. Correct selection of subjects and the choice of a suitable methodology make it possible to carry out scientific and pedagogical, socially-educating and general developmental impact on the personality of schoolchildren and students.
In conclusion I believe that English as a discipline in the university helps me and my group mates to broaden their horizons, through the development of foreign culture we realize the value of our own, and of course, as literate people, what is important is the new useful in our life. It is through traditions, customs, knowledge about the everyday life of foreign people that we can create a holistic picture of the world and our own perception of knowledge.
Today we can say with confidence that in the 21st century English is the international language No. 1. How long it will remain international, it is difficult to say. But, definitely, this status will be preserved for more than one decade.
I recommend to future specialists: at employment for prestigious work candidates without knowledge of English language will be not considered.
