Тема урока: Россия

Цель  урока: 

 1. Образовательные: обобщить и закрепить знания по теме «Россия», знать лексику по теме. Уметь применять ее в монологической и диалогической речи. Практиковать учащихся в устной и письменной речи.

 2. Развивающие: уметь рассказать о стране, где ты живешь, находить нужную информацию, уметь находить главное, уметь составлять краткие диалоги. Развивать умения аудирования с пониманием выборочной информации и основного содержания. Развивать интеллектуальные возможности, закреплять грамматический материал.

3. Воспитательные: воспитывать чувство гордости за свою страну, за ее народ, уметь видеть красоту, щедрость, культуру русского народа, чувствовать ответственность за себя и своего товарища.

Оборудование: ТСО, раздаточный материал.

                                                 Ход урока:

1. Орг. момент.

Приветствие, вступительное слово учителя.

Dear boys and girls. We are going to have an unusual lesson today. We’ll take an excursion about our country Russia. Imagine, that you meet some foreign friends from Great Britain and they want to know as much about Russia as they can. And I’m sure that you will help them. Everybody has an opportunity to work in a proper way.  And at the same time I will see how well you know your own motherland.

Now, let’s start.

2. Подготовка к предстоящей  работе.

Дети читают слова из текста:

Pine

Fir

Cedar

   Species

First of all, listen to some facts about our country and find out  some missing words. (Дети прослушивают кассету и выполняют задание «Facts about Russia»).

3. Проверка прослушанного.

4. Всесторонняя проверка знаний.

Now, I want to ask you some questions: What symbols do you know? (The Russian flag. It first appeared in 1668. It has 3 stripes: white, blue and red. These colours have always been symbolic in Russia: white – noble and sincere, blue -  honest and red – love and bravery.

The next symbol is a birch tree.

What is its emblem? (It’s the double - headed eagle.)

What can you tell about Russia? (Pacсказ учащихся о России, ее столице Москве).

5. But do you know how appeared Moscow? Now read the text and try to understand it.

(дети читают текст «The story of Moscow» поисковое чтение «scanning»), затем отвечают на вопросы:

- Who founded Moscow?

- When was Moscow founded?

- Was Moscow always the capital of Russia?

- Why did Prince Yuri travel to Vladimir?

- Who named the place “Moskva” ? or How did Moscow get its name?

(rule,  cloud,  huge,  adviser,  reach,  fight,  battle,  famous)

Then  try to ask your partner some questions:

1. Kiev is in the North/South of the country.
2. Prince Yuri’s son ruled in Vladimir/Suzdal.
3. The white cloud Yuri saw in the sky had three/four heads.
4. There was a small town/village next to Moskva River.

6. Развитие диалогической речи.

You will be given the following situation…. You are in Moscow  and  you want to get to some places (they are cinemas, museums, theatres and so on) Ask a passer – by to help you to find these places.

First listen to the tape – recording and then complete a dialogue according to the plan: -    Ask for help

• Thank your helper
• Say “Thank you very much”

7. Развитие монологической речи.

Well, now I see that people of our country are polite and help you in your difficult situation. They help you to find the necessary place and they do it with pleasure. And what else can you tell us about Russian people? How can you characterize them?

Тип урока: Урок проверки знаний, умений, навыков в устной речи и чтении.

Форма урока: Урок – телемост.

Цели урока: а) Образовательные: практиковать учащихся в устной речи.

б) Развивающие: Развивать интеллектуальные возможности, уметь  правильно передавать содержание имеющейся информации, умение слушать и понимать речь на слух, безошибочно выполнять задания в чтении, обогащая словарный запас, уметь выделять главное,  передавать содержание прочитанного.

в) Воспитательные: Воспитывать доброжелательное отношение к людям, культуре другой  страны, гордиться своей культурой.

Оборудование: ТСО, раздаточный материал, картины с видом Лондона и Москвы.

                                             Ход урока.

I. Орг. момент.

Dear boys and girls. We are going to have some fun today. We are going to practice Satellite – Link «Moscow – London ». You have to imagine, that you are Russian and English students on TV. You are divided in two groups. Everybody has an opportunity to express his or her opinion. I hope that you will find some interesting and new information for yourselves. Before starting the Satellite – Link, I want you to prepare your testing list. Be ready to form a correct estimate of your knowledge and your classmates’ knowledge. In each column put a point for your answer and your classmates’ answer.

                                                     Let’s start.

II. Телемост «Москва – Лондон»

III. Now I want to know how well you listened to each other. I’ll ask you some questions:

1. What places are the most interesting places in Moscow? (Red Square and the Kremlin);

2. What historical monuments do you know in the Kremlin? (The Tsar Bell and the Tsar Canon);

3. How old is London? (more than 2 thousand years old);

4. London consists of 3 parts. What are they? (The City, the West and the East  End);

5. What is the City? (is the heart of the business and financial life of the country)

6. What other interesting places do you know in London? (Trafalgar Square, a Monument to Admiral Nelson, the National Gallery …. and so on)

IV. I wonder if you ever have been to London. Who has been to London? Nobody? Would you like to go there? Today we’ll have a chance to see a short extract from  the film about London (просмотр фильма о Лондоне, дети отмечают достопримечательности Лондона).

V. You will be given the following situation… You are in London and you want to get to some places (they are cinemas, museums, theatres and so on). Ask a passer –  by to help you to find these places.

 First listen to the tape- recording and then complete a dialogue according to this plan: - Ask for help

V: Oh, yes. I’ve just arrived this morning.

P: Where are you from?

V: Newport.

P: That’s a nice town. I’ve been there. Oh, there’s the Picture Gallery there.

V: Thank you for your help.

P: You’re quite welcome. I hope you’ll enjoy your visit.

VI. What other cities do you know except London? (Дети называют города)

 You’ll be given two different texts about Glasgow and Cambridge. Read them and discuss with each other. Some of you will answer the questions and some of you will retell them. (Дети читают тексты, отвечают на вопросы, пересказывают)

VII. Now let’s sum up what we know. I’ll give you the cards and you must fill in the gaps.
