Тема урока: «Домашние питомцы» (Have you ever had a pet? Why do we keep animals and birds at home?)

Раздел: «Animals in our life»

Тип урока: урок обобщения и систематизации знаний

Цели: 

Учебные

     1. Совершенствование навыков устной речи

2. Тренировка навыков чтения с полным пониманием прочитанного.

3. Совершенствование навыков устной речи

4. Тренировка навыков аудирования.

5. Обучение письменной речи.

6. Совершенствование лексических навыков и навыков письма

Развивающие –

  1. Развитие мышления.
  2. Развитие творческих способностей учащихся.
  3. Развитие коммуникативных способностей учащихся.
  4.  Обогащать учащихся новыми социокультурными знаниями, способствовать формированию положительного отношения к животным.

Воспитательные –

  1. Воспитывать чувство ответственности за порученное дело.
  2. Научить ребят сотрудничеству и работе в группе и паре.
  3. Воспитывать чувство ответственности за сохранение животного мира на Земле.

Ожидаемые результаты: 

  • обучающиеся смогут: систематизировать знания по теме «Animals in our life»;
  • совершенствовать навыки чтения текста с полным пониманием содержания и умение ориентироваться в полученной информации;
  • Развитие коммуникативных навыков, умение работать в парах, умение составлять монологические высказывания.

Подготовительный этап: 

  • Подготовка учащимися и учителем стихотворений про животных.

Оборудование: интерактивная доска, аудиодиск презентация, раздаточный материал  (таблицы, карточки  Why do people keep pets? (a cat, a dog, a parrot, a hamster),  a table of Russian pets’ names, карточки для рефлексии).

Ход урока

  1. Организационный  момент.

Teacher: (слайд 1)-Welcome, dear guests, to our English lesson! Good morning, children. I’m glad to see you. How are you? I’ m glad you are fine, today we have special guests at the lesson. I want you to be brave. Don’ be afraid. Relax and try to do your best.

You have already had 4 lessons today. I think you are tired a little. Let’s have a rest and play associations. I’m writing a word on the blackboard (the Earth)? Read and translate it. The earth is the planet where people live, give your associations. What living things live with us?

Children: insects, birds, animals, pets etc

Teacher: You are right. A lot of  animals live on the Earth. (слайд 2 variety of animals) Let’s remember some animals. (slide 3  with words )

Teacher: Look at the blackboard and repeat after me: (slide 3  with words )

  • What are domestic (wild) animals?
  • What is your favourite domestic (wild) animal?
  • Which animals has wings?
  • What endangered animals do you know?
  • What animals can swim?
  • Wher can animals live?
  • What pets do you know?

  1. Создание проблемной ситуации   (слайд 4 pets) 

Учитель: - Let's look at the pictures. You can see some pictures. What do you think we are going to talk today? (

Обучающиеся высказывают своё мнение

Обучающиеся: -We are going to speak about pets.

Учитель: - Right! We will speak about pets, about your pets, why you keep pets and different pets’ names.

        Teacher:  I know you like to sing. Let’s sing about pets. (song “Have you got a pet?”)

  1. Введение в тему.

Учитель: - So the theme of our lesson today is Have you ever had a pet? Why do we keep animals and birds at home? (write down on the blackboard)

 

  1. Проверка домашнего задания.

Teacher:  I know that you have learned poems about pets. Let’s listen to you. Who wants to recite the poem? Natasha, do you have a pet? What is it? (слайд 4 pets) 

  1. Работа с учебником.

Teacher:  It was wonderful. Natasha has a pet. But how many of you have pets and what are they? Let’s find out the information. Open your textbooks on page 115. ex. 36/ read and translate the task.

P1- P2  Work in pairs, ask and answer each other’s questions, write down the information about your classmate. (3 min.).

Teacher:  Let’s listen to the dialogues. Olya, interview Nastya.  (2- 3 times)

Teacher:  It is interesting what kinds of pets you have. Who has a cat, a dog, a hamster, a parrot, a guinea pig, a tortoise, a fish?

        So, the most popular pet in our group is a …

  1. Работа в группах.

Teacher:  You have a lot of different pets. But why do people  keep pets? Let’ s watch the video to get an impression  about it (video «Animals best friends»).

        Now divide into groups, count 1-2-3.

        Your task will be to think and write down 4 -5 reasons why people keep pets.(a cat, a dog, a parrot, a hamster) (3 - 4 min.)

        Now listen to your friends’ reasons. Give full answers.

        Well done ! Come to your places.

  1. Практика в монологической речи

Teacher:  I see that you are good pet keepers, you love your animals. You have taken photos of your pets, show them to me. What nice pets. Do you want to tel us about them? Follow these questions as a plan. Read and translate.

  • What  pet have you got?
  • What colour is your pet?
  • Is your pet big or little?
  • What can you pet do?
  • What characteristics of your pet can you name?
  • Who takes care of your pet?
  • Do you like your pet and why?

Заслушиваются рассказы учеников.

  1. Физкультминутка 

Teacher:  Let’s have a break and imagine that you are animals. (slide 5)

Can you hop like a rabbit?

Can you jump like a frog?

Can you walk like a duck?

Can you run like a dog?

Can you be like a good child?

  1.  Работа с текстом.

:         Teacher:  Olya, what is your pet name? Natasha, what is your pet name?

Yes, these names are very popular in Russia. But have you ever heard about Prim and Diamond?

 T-P1 P2 P3   Do you want to know about them?

 Now we will read the text “Pets’ names” Ex. 37(а), p. 115. Read the text to yourselves and find out what Prim and Diamond became famous.

What was Isaac Newton? (slide 6 )

What was Lord Byron? (slide 7)

Find and read the sentences to describe the picture.

        Do you know any famous Russian pets?

Laika - a Soviet space dog that became the first animal to orbit the Earth.

 Belka and Strelka - the first spacecraft to carry animals into orbit and return them alive. (slide 8 )

12.Социокультурная информация

Учитель: - Now let’s look at Ex. 37(b), p. 115

There are different pet’s names. Listen to them and repeat. (listening)

Учитель: These are  the most popular pets’ names in Great Britain.

Let’s make a table of Russian pets’ names. Now  divide into groups, count 1-2-3. (3 min.)

  1. cats, parrots
  2. dogs, hamsters
  3. guinea pigs, tortoises)

13. Рефлексия.  Our lesson is coming to the end. You have worked very well today. So I am sure you are good maters for your pets.
