Ecology of the native land

Hypothesis:

Let`s save our home Earth together!

Purpose:  To draw attention to the environmental problems of the native land.

Tasks:

1. Learn about the main environmental problems
2. Find out how environmental problems are solved
3. To draw the attention of classmates to the fact that everyone is responsible for preservation of nature

Methods of research work:

1. Conversation, scientific articles, publications.
2. Internet resources.

Introduction

Ecology is an important science because it is about our home Earth.

Every year industrial waste pollutes surrounding atmosphere with millions of tons of dust and harmful substances.

The most acute problems include shortage of natural resources, global warming, acid rains, wildlife extinction, water and air pollution.

Our planet is in danger.

Air pollution is one of the most important and urgent problems. The air is polluted because of a great number of plants, factories and cars.

Water pollution Our seas, rivers and lakes are also polluted and people are responsible for it. Many ships carry oil by sea. In case, there is a leakage, many fish die or get contaminated. It happens because their habitat gets polluted. People can also suffer if they eat such fish.

Wildlife extinction is no less acute. Many species of animals are in danger nowadays.

Shortage of natural resources will definitely affect the future of our environment. It includes food and water shortage, fuel and non-fuel minerals shortage. These resources are not limitless and if people persist using them uncontrollably, the upcoming years will become extremely polluted, economically unstable and risky.

My city Shchyolkovo is located on the bank of Klyazma-river.

There are several industrial enterprises located in the city so problems connected with the ecology periodically appear.

In recent years citizens suffered from atmospheric emissions of the Chemical plant, now the situation has been taken under control and the air is quite clean. One of the main problem areas is the Shchyolkovo inter-district treatment facilities and the pollution of the atmosphere. Water reservoirs also greatly suffer from enterprises and the Klyzma-river has become undrinkable. Now the state of the environment is regularly monitored and a set of measures is being developed to solve existing problems.

The Klyazma-river in Shchyolkovo has been cleaned recently, and now there are a lot of fish and birds living there.

We should get our efforts together to protect our planet Earth from destruction and to save it for future generations.

Conclusion:

I have realized the purpose and the tasks of the research work.

I managed to draw attention to environmental problems.

My classmates sort rubbish, make cleaning days.

People must take care of the Earth.
