The elixir of youth of 21 century and if nanotechnology can create it.
Plan:
1) History of cosmetics products.
2) Rejuvenators are mentioned in literary works.
3) Nanotechnology and nanocosmetics. How it all works.
4) Physiqal qualities.
5) Prospects of development of nanocosmetics.
6) Comparison of nanocosmetics in different countries.
7) Medical aspect.
8) Technology and equipment.
9) The poll among the teachers.
10) Making of nanocosmetics at home. Our experiment.
It’s an open secret that almost all women want to look beautiful and young. So, there are a lot of ways to achieve this aim, for example using cosmetics. Though cosmetics plays a really significant role in woman's life, does it really provide beauty? We decided to make a retrospective journey into the history of cosmetics.
It is common knowledge that all women have always wanted to be appreciated, respected and admired. So they tried to improve their appearance. That's why we can say that the desire to be beautiful and young is rather old. Traditions, climate, social status and fashion had influence on cosmetics.
Looking back to history we can find out how cosmetics industry was developing.
The aim: -to help our mothers and teachers to look younger and more beautiful and to be healthier.
Tasks: 1) To find out the ways our ancestors used cosmetics.
2) To learn about new ways of making products of personal care with the help of nanotechnologies.
3) To try to make some of such handmade products at home.
All started about 12 thousand years ago when Ancient Egyptians discovered healing abilities of scented oils. From that poin, their cosmetic industry began its growth higher and higher (by the time) when it became an important part of their religion. Gods were honored by entire population with the help of a wide variety of cosmetics, almost everyone used oils, eyeliners, and similar products to enhance their appearance). Even though some of their ingredients were poisonous, allure of cosmetic did not lessen. However, Egyptian products were not accepted neither in Ancient Greece, nor in Ancient Rome, as ladies were interested rather in medical effect of cosmetics, than in exotic looks! They used very simple things available to everyone. They washed with fine sand, it was like pilling. More than that, Romans invented the way of lightening hair with the help of ash and milk and sunlight. In other civilizations, cosmetics also received similar harsh treatment from time to time. Lack of care as well as too much care about the appearance caused troubles for ladies (women) in China and Japan. In China, for example, common people were executed if they were caught wearing nail polish in public (that was only the privilege of the rich), and in Japan, noble women were forbidden to walk in public without full body cosmetic treatment. As for our ancestors, women in Russia were blacking eyebrows with a piece of coal.
For instance, in Russian literature there is a tale of young man apples and living water.
An old king who learns about a garden with apples that can make a man grow young, and water that restores the appearance. He has 3 sons. So he sends them to find these treasures.
The Humpbacked Horse is another Russian tale.
The elderly tsar wants to become young and handsome. So he needs to take 3 baths: first-boiling water, the 2 one is of milk and the 3 is of freezing water. The tsar's advisor tells him to try it on Ivan first. So in the morning, Ivan jumps into the boiling water, then the milk and then the freezing water, and appears as a handsome young man and stays alive. The tsar gets excited and decides that he also wants to be young and handsome. However, the spell is no longer working, so after he jumps into the boiling water he doesn't come back out.
In some English tales there are some references to magic bullets, for example, in books written by Tolkin. Nazguls-the ghosts try to find the elixir of youth that hobbits hunt, to get a magic Ring wanted to become immortal. They can’t survive without it, after the destruction of the ring Nazguls die.
As far as such famous novel as the Master and MARGARITA written by Bulgakov is concerned, there
Margarita uses the ointment and becomes more beautiful. However, she becomes a witch of special powers. as a witch she is able to fly and joins other evol forces at a fantastic ball, and after the death she finds peace in the afterlife world together with the Master, where they can be together forever.
Among outstanding English novels is Harry Porter.
Lord Volan de Mort is a great dark magician, who is enormously powerful and practically has reached immortality through cresteria. He is the enemy of Harry Potter . He tries to
rejuvenate in this story.
Nano cosmetics is named so because it utilizes extremely tiny (or nano) particles to penetrate the skin far more than traditional anti aging treatments are able to do.
Nanotechnology is the science of manipulating atoms and molecules on the nanoscale level - 80,000 times smaller than the width of a human hair.
The cosmetics industry is using it to create new materials with new properties.
These products include nano emulsions. These are preparations containing oil and water droplets that are reduced to nano size. The are used to preserve active ingredients, such as vitamins and anti-oxidants, and for their lightness and transparency.
Another example is a type of nanomaterial called "fullerenes" that is used in anti-aging cream products.
Scientists have raised particular concerns about potential toxicity of fullerenes if they were able to penetrate the skin.
Used in perfumery-cosmetic production of substances (raw materials) normally pass the following processes: transport, emulsification, mixing, crystallization, plastic processing. All technological processes are often classified according to those laws, which the passing process submit to.
The main task of creams was considered to provide moisture, nutrition and protection for the upper layers of the skin. New technologies that come from medicine, help to make medical cosmetics; so creams can now penetrate through the epidermis. The most often used oils contain substances of plant stem cells which well created using nanotechnology. Owing to nanotechnology, biologically active substances enter the deep skin layers up to the required quantity. Thus, they strengthen the process of regeneration.
These are well known creams that are produced abroad and in Russia.

Security of nanocosmetics.
Nanocosmetics is in constant development and we can't say if it is safe or not. We just are, so to say "Guinea pigs".
Physical and chemical properties of nanoparticles may differ. After all, if the substance as the result of transformation acquires new properties, it can acquire and new side effects.
The particles are so small that they may obey not the classical but quantum physics.
The homogenizer is used for grinding down to the micron level, mixing of inhomogeneous products.
Rejuvenating facial cream
Rejuvenating effect characteristic of cream prepared from the juice of three lemons, present their zest in a glass of boiled water and taken on a teaspoon pink and olive oil, honey and milk cream. Use a blender, mix carefully for 3 minutes. Keep in your fridge.
Conclusions:
1) Producing cosmetics has long and interesting history.
2) It is true that people have always wanted to look. attractive and young and it is reflected in numerous books.
3) We have learnt the way modern cosmetics can work at a nano level.
4) We tried to prepare our own cream which, as we believe, can work in a similar to nanocosmetics way because it contains proper ingredients.
Finally, your beauty is in your hands, and nanocosmetics can help you to achieve desirable result.
