Our Earth is so beautiful. But today people all over the world are worried about ecological problems. Newspapers and magazines write about water pollution, air pollution and soil pollution.

Water Pollution has become an increasingly concerned issue throughout the world. Water is the most valuable resource on the earth. Polluted water affects all living organisms since it serves as one of the basic necessities for life.

Today we decided to talk not only about global problems. We know that there is much concern in small places too. People in our village are worried about the quality of water they drink, especially in spring. More than 62 per cent of people in Musirma use water from wells and they think it is not very good.

The main questions: How does the water that we use change in spring? Is it healthy to use well-water?

Our investigations: we defined water according to its transparency, the temperature, the smell, the hardness, the content of organic dash

The defining of the temperature: We used a thermometer for measuring the water’s temperature immediately after taking it from different sources and put down the results in the table. The water from the spring was the coldest.

Defining of the transparency We took 3 glasses with a measuring ruler, then we filled the glasses with water and tried to read a short text through these glasses. By adding water we found the maximum of the height when reading is possible.

Defining the smell First we smelled the water just after taking it from the source. Then we heated it and defined the smell. We decided that the well-water doesn’t smell well, didn’t notice any bad smell in other 2 cases.

Defining of the content To find out if the water contains any organic dash we added some Mn solution. If the water contains any organic dash it changes the color. Well water does. So, it contains organic dash. Water from the spring and tap didn’t change color.

Defining of the hardness For defining the hardness we used soap solution. We added 1 drop of this solution and shacked the container. We did it again and again until the suds remain for 3 minutes. And we found out that the water from the well is the softest.

So, we can see that The well water has the worst characteristics in spring. It is not quite pure, it contains organic dash. But the main part of people of our village use water from wells. And of course, it may cause different diseases.

Solution of the problem We’ d like to recommend to use tap water, and talking to people we found out that they want to have tap-water at their homes and they are looking forward to the fulfillment of the program of our president. He does much to make the standards of living higher for villagers too. And spring water is also can be used. The specialists recommend to use aqua filters, we think it’s a good idea too.

And we recommend to make full chemical analyses of all kinds of water resources around.
