War Conflicts

Military conflicts have become one of the most important problems in the world today.

 The fact is that different countries have different interests. And it often happens that these interests are opposite.  When states cannot solve the problems of their relationship peacefully, they start military actions.    Also we can see many inner conflicts between the official authorities of the country and opposition. Very often these conflicts also become military.

The worst thing her in both cases is deaths of innocent people.  Moreover, neighbor countries try to support one of the opposing sides and make the conflict even more tragic.

    There is a point of view that other countries should not interfere in inner conflicts of their neighbors.

 I think, it is right. I believe that countries should solve their internal conflicts themselves. They should not involve in their conflict other countries. A lot of participants in a war conflict once may lead to the third world war, that will threaten the existence of mankind.

   To prove this, I can give an example. The USA interfered into the inner war conflict in Iraq. They supported the official government. The war was stopped. And it was, for sure a positive fact. But after the withdrawal of US troops in December 2011 the conflict broke out again between different religious groups, and the level of violence increased even more. Military groups stepped up their actions against the Shiite majority population in order to undermine confidence in the government and its efforts to protect the citizens by their own forces, without direct American involvement. Armed groups in Iraq organized the "Free Iraqi army". So, final results   of the interference appeared to be unsatisfactory.

    There is another point of view on this problem. There are those who believe that states should help a neighbor country to resolve the conflict.  We have also the examples of the effective help.  This is the second civil war in Liberii- the armed conflict in Liberia between the government and rebel groups in 1999-2003. The war ended with the victory of the rebel groups and the flight of President Charles Taylor from the country.  The UN peacekeepers were introduced in Liberia. The situation was normalized and an the interim government was created.

    To sum up, I insist on my point of view. More often military interference does not solve inner problems, it only helps one of the sides to destroy the other side with the help of military force of a foreign state. But the reasons of the conflict remain and can cause the continuation of the conflict.

So, the assistance from other states does more harm than good.
