Some people think that the family is the most important influence on young adults. Other people think that friends are the most important influence on young adults. Which view do you agree with?

Friends have always had an impact on teenagers. But the family is an essential part of a child’s life, too. What is more important?

Frankly speaking, young adults take into consideration friend’s point of view more often. To begin with, friends have common interests. They trust each other their deepest and dearest secrets.  Friends can always understand you and cheer you up. Besides, friends spend more time together. They study together, entertain together and walk together. What is more, young people join groups. They find like-minded friends there. In a group they can get their message across and make a statement with their fashion.

Nevertheless, a family is a shelter from the storm when the waves of life become too wild.  Friends forget about you when you have problems. Only family are always round you, in any case they are interested in you.

Anyway, families differ. Some parents have no time for their children. They do not take care of their children. A child is not alone, but he is surrounded by strangers. They do not understand you. Children and parents often have rows in such families. And kids become rebellious.

To sum up, they say birds of a feather flock together. It means that people of the same age more often come to an understanding. There is no generation gap between them.
