What do we know about people's ability to think “outside the box”? Such people use maximal number of approaches to get the best result. Some people believe that unconventional thinking is the key to success, while others believe that it can have consequences.

As best known English inventor, Trevor Baylis, said: “The key to success is to risk thinking unconventional thoughts. Convention is the enemy of progress”.  I am inclined to think that the ability to find new approaches always attracts people.  They consider, it serves as an impulse for moving forward, and usually leads to something new, innovative, that usually becomes common and standard.  Unconventional thinking allows us to make scientific discoveries, create new, computerization, the Internet. For example, many patented inventions related to medical technologies are the result of unconventional thinking.

However, some believe that there is a reverse of the coin. People are convinced that any changes can lead to irreversible consequences. They believe that people who suppose unconventionally have problems with psyche; they are not healthy. They are considered upstarts, crazy, but people forget that such people are the keys to progress.

Taking everything into account, I believe when think conventionally they keep themselves into the boundaries, but people with non-standard thinking are more flexible in our modern world.
