“The key to success is to risk thinking unconventional thoughts. Convention is the enemy of progress”

     It is generally agreed that lateral thinking is a really rear skill because people used to live and think logically and follow the common rules. Only children and small percentage of people may say they think out of the box and use its method to solve problems.

     The first thing that needs to be said is outside the box thinking helps to break the boring reality. In other words, it helps to get out of the usual framework imposed by society. Individuals who have unconventional thinking always try to find a better way and solution. More often, these people are more creative, able to solve the problem faster, develop more effective and innovative ideas. As a result, creative people become more successful in their careers.

     On the other hand, extraordinary line of thinking cannot be used as the ideal solution for every problem. It is true that creative people are considered as “weird” or ‘‘bizarre’’. Therefore, some individuals do not want to be different and use lateral thinking approach.

     In conclusion, I would agree that this approach should be more developed and appreciated. Out of the box thinkers tend to be more creative and make decision not based on the cultural believes only. Unconventional approach helps to come up with better solution, to be more proactive and confident.
