These words were said by the author Antoine de Saint-Exupery about a century ago, but they are still actual today. In fact nowadays the world population is 7.5 billion people. It's about 2-5 thousand nations and nationalities and 7 thousand languages. We are so many on the planet and so different. We are not just different, we are multicolored. We have different customs, habits, and time and climatical zones. Even the sense of humor differs. But we have got one common goal - we must save the Earth. And it does not matter how different we are, on what continent we live, what language we speak, how old we are and what we do. We just need to want it.

«We are all children of the one ship called the Earth, so nowhere to change seat from it...»
Antoine de Saint-Exupery
These words were said by the author about a century ago, but they are still actual today.
It seems so simple and easy. But people do not understand ordinary things. It is more important for them to buy an apartment, a new car, a fur coat, etc. We get used to the fact that the sky is blue, the sun shines brightly and all is well. We believe it won’t come to an end. That’s why to find people who think and care not only of themselves is rather difficult.
Today in the world there are a lot of "green" communities and organizations such as Greenpeace, the WWF and others. The information that something is wrong with the world and nature is not hidden from us. Every day we hear about disasters and how many lives they have taken with them. The question arises: "Why does it happen?"
While visiting European countries, you may notice one important thing. In many countries order and cleanliness in the streets are kept. For example, in Germany the protection of natural life foundations is included in the Basic Law as the aim of public policy. This constitution article sounds like «responsibility for future generations." They are very strict about recycling.
As for Israel it is mostly a desert. That’s why the nation is interested in the tree planting (70% of all forests were planted in the 20th century). Trees are grown in honor of various events - birthday, wedding anniversary, dead heroes etc. Almost every planted tree connects with artificial irrigation system.
If to have a look at our country such cities as Norilsk and Dzerzhinsk are considered to be the most polluted ones not only in Russia, they are included in the list of the most polluted cities in the world! Who is guilty of that?
And who is responsible for our lake Baikal pollution? As a result of Dzhidinsk tungsten-molybdenum plant’s activity various chemical elements of high hazard class get into Lake Baikal. Besides there is one more polluter - the Baikal pulp and paper mill (BPPM). Despite numerous protests of activists, BPPM again began to produce bleached pulp at industrial scale. Over the past few months the water level in the lake dropped to 14 centimeters.
The answer is quite obvious. We should blame ourselves for everything around us. The desire to buy luxury things exceeds the desire to take part in cleaning the surrounding territory.
Recently I’ve read a little story from the life of a woman. One day she was walking in the park with a little boy who was 4 years old. A man passed by and threw a piece of paper on the ground. The little boy suddenly ran after him. Having caught him up the boy asked: "Why did you throw a piece of paper? You see I am walking here... ". The man was embarrassed; he came back and picked up a piece of paper.
This story is instructive, isn’t it? A little boy could give a lesson to a grown-up man! I wish everyone followed the boy’s example! If only all of us could do the best to protect our fragile planet for future generations!
