This story is about Rafael, a poor, crazy man who lives in an old boat-house on a beach in small fishing village. What happened to him several years ago? One day Rafael was well; the next day he was completely mad. The narrator is a doctor. Н e tries to find out what happened to Rafael. What made him mad? What happened to the soldier, the stranger who came to the village? The people of the village all try to help. They tell the doctor everything they know. And only Rafael knows what really happened that night. But Rafael is mad…

Once one man whose name was Rafael fell in love with one girl. After their meeting passed fourteen days and Rafael decided to make her present. He decided to give her gold ring which looked like fish. It was very expensive present so Rafael worked for three month to get money to buy this ring. And he did it.

But in a few days the girl loved not Rafael, she loved a soldier, the stranger who came to the village. That is why Rafael decided to kill the stranger, but because of incidental circumstance Rafael killed the soldier and……. he killed the girl which he loved.. He understood it when he found the ring that was given to the girl at the beginning of the story.. So that is why Rafael went mad… The reason of the accident “why did Rafael go mad” find out main character – doctor (the writer).

So I have read a novel THE RING. I’ve really liked this book. I can say that the beginning is very strange and the plot becomes very interesting from the middle to the end of the book. I like such books where something strange is happening but then you understand what was REALLY going on. This book is quite exciting. Also I can say that it is a love story. In fact the poor fisherman loved one girl in that village and because of this love our hero get into the interesting situation. And what will he do? I would like to recommend my friends who knows English well to read it, they will really enjoy it!
