What does music gives to a person? Music can simply cheer up and make people smile, inspire to get new achievements, and give the hope for the future. And what is the most important, music helps a person learn all the innermost desires and dreams from his soul. As for me, I can surely say that I live because of music. Music is my life, especially classical music.

I’ve just now started to understand the great significance of the fact my mother’s taking me to a musical school. This event seemed to be unimportant for me at that time. Every day, during eight years of my life my soul was filled with the sounds of music. Touching the keys on the piano, from which wonderful melody flows like a stream light I understand how much music means for me.  Air and graceful transition of the fingers, which helps music flow into the surrounding atmosphere fills my life with unforgettable and breathtaking feelings. These are my skills and experience which I am grateful to a music school for. As it is sung in one of the songs: “If you have been friends with music since your childhood, if you are a child who loves it, we live in this world just happily, the music from his childhood gives him the magic of its own”. (Sorry for my interpretation of the English version of this Russian song). And every day I feel how my heart gets used to this strong magic of music.

It’s very nice to feel how every bit of your body is filled with beauty of music. Sometimes I even feel as if I am in another reality. I do love the music of Tchaikovsky, Strauss, Chopin, Griboyedov and Vivaldi. These are the composers of another century, and listening to their music, actually transports us to the time when all the ladies and gentlemen were attended by balls and wore luxurious ballroom gowns. It’s strange, but listening to classical music, I always want to be whirled in a dance by a handsome young gentleman in a stunning ball suit.

It’s impossible to describe the thrill which I experience listening to music. What an overwhelming feeling I have when I happen to find a new song, even more charming, magnificent and captivating than I’ve heard before. Unfortunately, only few people understand what I really feel listening to musical compositions. Music not only helps me relax a little and meditate on my life, but sometimes even mourn. Besides, it can inspire me to be more confident in the future. At last, what is the most important for me, music gives me a part of its soul by making me kinder and more sensitive to others.

And in conclusion, I would like to note, that music is not only soothes, or entertains, or pleases our ears - no, music is also an ideology. Tell me what kind of music you listen to, and I’ll tell you who you are.
