Peace on Earth depends from us

We can only change the world by changing men.

I really like travelling with my parents, especially by car. I like preparing for journey, planning route. I like the feel of excitement and feel of how huge our world is. So, in 2012 when I was preparing for our tour to Odessa, Ukraine, the civil war started and my preparations became useless. Then I’ve been to Jerusalem, and there I felt how tight our world is. I was surprised of how close to this point have converged such countries as Iran, Iraq, Syria, Turkey and Egypt. And how they can live together in such proximity.

Not much time ago Turkish military forces shot down Russian aircraft near their border, and it seemed to me that I felt the cold breath of starting war, my parents were very worried about the situation.  And I couldn’t understand why had Turks done this? Why does war in the Ukraine still last? Why did the Syrian war start? Why are wars happening if they brings only death and destruction for everyone, especially for civilians like me. I was very excited when I could fly to Turkey and relax at the hotel, swim in the sea and enjoy the bright hot sun. But now I couldn’t because of relationship between our countries, which became worse after the Turks shot down our aircraft. Who needs it? Our government doesn’t think about ordinary people. Turkish hotels suffer material losses, Russian people can’t enjoy nice climate. Who wins in this situation? Nobody. And it’s just one example of similar events, which periodically happens in our world.

Then I was thinking a lot about relationship of people from different countries. How they act when countries where they live have confrontations of interests and even conflicts. I think, in situations like this, people should not listen to propaganda and prevent different attempts to set us against people of other country or nationality.  To prevent their fear or aggressiveness we should know them more. We should respect them, their traditions and lifestyle, communicate with them manually to understand them and their attitude to happening events. Only by listening to our own heart and mind we could prevent aggressiveness, conflicts and wars. We want to live in peace, be happy and healthy.
