My favourite Russian sportsman

There are many great sportsmen in Russia. My favourite Russian sportswoman is Yulia Lipnitskaya. She is a well-known Russian figure-skater.  

She was born on 5 June 1998 in Yekaterinburg.

She started skating when she was only 4 years old. She showed great results even when she was very young and took part in different competitions.

She won gold and silver medals at several junior competitions in Russia and abroad.

In 2013-2014 she began to take part in senior competitions and was really successful. She chose the music for her programme herself.

She was the European champion in ladies' singles and became an Olympic champion in team competition when she was only 15 years old.

Now she is getting ready for the new competitions and victories.

I hope she will win many medals in her sport career.
