Valov Nikolai Fedorovich was born in May 7, 1922 in the village of Lukanovka . In 1930, he went to class 1 (while at school children were taken from the age of eight). After the ending of the 7th grade he was forced to leave school because the house was burned down, his mother died and he had to earn money to live and build a new house. In 1939, Nikolai Fedorovich went to work as a railway clerk to the service of motion. In this work the war found him. To the Red Army he was called in 1941 and sent to the city Volsk , Saratov region, where the 42-nd d ivision was formed. In early 1942 the division arrived at the Western Front Moscow direction, when the Germans had already been pushed back from Moscow to the distance of hundred of kilometers. The Division was ordered to stand in a tough defense, that meant standing up to the last. Thank you very much! My great-grandfather.

There was local fighting to improve their positions. At the same time he took courses for a junior commander and a month later he was promoted to the rank of sergeant. In spring of 1943, he was sent to the 3-months courses for a junior lieutenant at the 33-d Army, which completed successfully. During the war, the situation was changing every minute. But orders were not discussed. He understood that this fight could be the last one, Nicholas led his platoon. In this battle, Nikolai Fedorovich was seriously wounded by an explosive bullet of an enemy sniper. The bullet passed a few millimeters from the heart. In spite of the fact they won. During his military service he was repeatedly awarded with medals. The most expensive medal - "For Valour ", which is equivalent to the Order. In April 1944, he returned home.

In 1945 he married, and in 1946 the first son Valery was born, later worked in a pedagogical school as a physical education teacher. In 1951 he graduated from an Arzamas college by profession of a primary school teacher. In 1954 the second son Alexander was born, he went on his father's footsteps. Nikolai Fedorovich was by nature a very disciplined sporting man, having organizational skills, being an honest and brave one . He was very good at drawing. Therefore, working as a teacher of a primary school, he managed to draw and hold various competitions and sports military training.

After retiring he had been working for 7 years as an instructor at the pneumatic shooting gallery. For his pedagogical activity he was awarded with a badge "Excellent Education of the RSFSR", "Excellence in Education of the USSR," a variety of awards and cash prizes. For all his years of work and during his retirement, Nikolai Fedorovich was actively involved in the life of the city and the region. He took an active part in the society VOI. He was invited to various schools in the district to meet with students and to tell them very interesting stories about his life, about the war.

With his wife he had been living for 60 years (1945 - 2005). He raised two sons and three grandchildren. In 2010 he died. For his family, it was a big loss, especially for his grandchildren (three of them) and great-grandchildren, (he had four of them). He was a wise, intelligent, kind and cheerful man with excellent memory and knowledge. I am very proud of having such a great-grandfather . I am very grateful to you for the victory.
