Helen: Yes, but have you bought the present yet? Fred: No, of course, not. We’ve decided to buy one present from all of us, haven’t we? Helen: Sure, you’re absolutely right, but all the money we’ve saved for the present is at John’s house and he doesn’t answer the phone, he’s the pain in my neck. Fred: Really? Let’s go quickly because there’s little time before the party.

My dad decided not to give me any pocket money because I got the lowest mark on Geography test yesterday. Fred : I can help you with Geography but we know that you were saving money to buy a new mobile, weren’t you? John: I spent them all on new gadgets. Fred: And so what? John: I’ve got an idea! And it’s as easy as a piece of cake. Fred: Hey, Helen! Can you make cakes?

John: I can’t remember all these names! Fred : Y ou are a lazy bone! You have to learn from this till this. Helen: Hey, boys! I’ve made the cake! Put some candles on it and sign this birthday card with the best wishes. We also need some flowers! John: Here they are. This is my Mum’ favorite plant! Take it and let’s hurry up!

My parents thought that my friends would come and let me stay at home but they forgot about me and my birthday party. It would have been better if I’d gone with them to visit my Granny. Suddenly she hears the knock at the door. Kate: Who’s there? Come in! The friends are coming singing ‘Happy Birthday’. Kate: Oh! How happy I am. You haven’t forgotten about me & my birthday party. Helen: We’ve brought the cake for you. Kate: How nice of you! I didn’t bake the cake! Fred: And this is a birthday card for you with best our wishes! John : A nd here are some flowers for you, it is a plant in realty but it will grow up and becomes more beautiful and strong as our friendship! Kate: Thank you very much for presents! Feel yourselves at home. Come to the table and help yourselves, my rear friends! Song: ‘You’ve got a friend’.
