Running is Life.

I don’t care if I can never be a professional…
I just love this sport!
One day a very strange thing happened to me. I was running a distance of 800 meters when I heard a voice telling me “Come on, you can do it! You must be the first!” I was shocked because it was the voice of my coach in my head encouraging me. I finished first in that race.
Let me tell you my story. I started to run two years ago after one of the physical education classes in my school. Actually, it was my teacher who offered me to try sprinting. Sprinting is running over a short distance at the top speed. In high school, sprint races are usually run by six people. Some good times for a highschooler to run are 51.8 seconds for 400 meters, 23.0 seconds for 200 meters. It sounded so exciting to me! And of course I started to train. My parents supported me in that and it really helped me very much. As for my friends, they are not fond of sports. None of them share my interest.
My first training was on 5th October 2012, the day of my birth. It’s like I made a perfect gift for myself. I was born in Arzamas, it’s the city not far from Nizhny Novgorod . My first sport club where I started my training was called “Znamya”. I met my first coaches in that club. They will always stay the best authorities for me. They had a very strong team there. But one year later they made me understand that running was not for me… But no way! I know and I feel that I was born for that! I do enjoy running and I’m ready to dedicate all my life to it! Later I moved to Moscow, because I wanted to continue my studies there in the College of Police. And in this way I was forced to change my sport club.
Here in Moscow I train regularly. In winter we train in the CSKA sports center, in summer we run in the park “Kolomenskoe”. To be honest, so far my sport results have been quite poor, but I never give up. Sprinting is my biggest passion and the most interesting hobby. I’ve never participated in any big sport events but I often go to the sport competitions to help and support my team. I know how much my presence helps them. It gives a very powerful inspiration and great self confidence. The whole atmosphere of this kind of competitions is very exciting. It seems you can smell the pure adrenaline in the air!
Millions of people are fond of sports and sport games. They help people to stay in good shape, keep them fit and make them more organized and better disciplined in their lives. Sport also helps to keep good health and makes your mood higher. Nowadays we are surrounded by the things associated with sport. You can always hear sport news on the radio. When you open a newspaper you always find information about sport events. TV programs about sport are very popular, and you can watch something very interesting every day. But watching sport events and going in for sports are two different things. Personally I don’t have a lot of time to watch TV, because my schedule is very tough.
Actually, it’s not easy to be a successful sprinter. You have to eat healthy food and follow a special diet, be able to lift the weights, and constantly practice plyometrics. Plyometrics are exercises used to strengthen leg muscles, which can include regular jumping, skipping, hopping, and leaping. Sprinters can practice aerobics by running 5-6 kilometers a day. And with time your body becomes stronger. These changes can lead to better concentration, logic, speed, and strength.
I can’t say that I have any idols in sport. I don’t. I just respect professional athletes very much. Especially those, who keep on showing top results over the years. I admire their discipline, organization and professionalism. I hope one day I can stand next to them. So I spend all my free time working out and training to improve my results. I believe that working hard is the only way to reach success.
Doesn’t matter that at the present time I don’t have big results in sprint. I believe I can get what I want and I keep on moving to my goal. And I will try to do my best to get it as soon as possible!
