I was born in the 9th century. My birthday is on the 12th of June. I am many interesting things and places, many brave and famous people who glorified me. I am the Russian Federation.

I am 146 million living souls and the ghost of millions who have lived and died for me. I am more than 17 million square kilometers. I stretch for 9,000 kilometers from west to east and 5000 from north to south.

I am Ivan the Terrible, Peter the Great, Ekaterina II, Alexander II, Lenin and Stalin, Eltsin and Putin .

I remember two Patriotic wars and two world wars. When I was attacked my people fought against the enemy and defended me. Such battles as the Borodino, the Orel and Kursk one, the Moscow and the Berlin brought me glory and made me famous.

I’m loca ted on two plains: the Great Russian Plain and the Western Siberian Plain. I am washed by three oceans and 12 seas. I am long rivers and large forests, high mountains and flat plains. I am the Baikal. I am Europe and Asia. I am oil and diamonds in Yakutsk. I am the fertile lands and wheat fields in the south. I am the White Nights in St. Petersburg.

You can look at me and see Peter the Great walking down the streets of St. Petersburg. I am A. Suvorov crossing the Alps Mountains. I am Lomonosov and Lobachersky , Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev, Pushkin and Lermontov, Levitan and Repin , Vasiliev and Ulanova.

You can eat pancakes on Shrovetide and eggs on Easter, see the fireworks and hear the strains of “ Katusha ” on Victory Day. Yes, I am a nation and these are the things I am. I was born to protect my people and I will defend them till the end of my days. I will spend the rest of my days in freedom and peace. I will be the most powerful country in the world. I am Russia.
