In the modern era the unity of mankind has immeasurably grown. It is a fundamentally new system connected by a common destiny and shared responsibility.  

It's out of the question, due to the wide development of media and communication, the deepening division of labor and specialization, humanity is united into one socio-cultural integrity.

So, what the advantages and disadvantages of integrity?

We must begin with the fact that the process of transformation of the citizen of his state in the global citizen dictates new requirements for the individual.  He should be harmoniously combined high qualification, virtuosic mastery of technique, marginal competence in his specialty with social responsibility and moral human values ​​.

However, the globalization of social, cultural, economic and political processes in the modern world, along with positive parts raised a number of ecological, demographic, political, other problems, which are called "global problems of today". All these problems are important for the present and the future of humanity. But most people would agree that environmental problem comes to the forefront.

What is the essence of environmental problems? The answer is simple: the contradiction between the productive activity of mankind and the natural stability of its habitat. Giving facts and figures more than 200 million tons of sulfur and nitrogen oxides, and millions of tons of carbon dioxide are emitted into the atmosphere every year. And so in the future the temperature of the atmosphere  may increase, and after that,  sea levels  rise  and flood the large areas of land. As a result, hundreds of millions of people risk of becoming "environmental refugees."

Taking everything into consideration, humanity must develop effective forms of cooperation that would enable all countries to work together despite differences of socio - political, religious, ethnic and other worldview orientations.

Many contemporary philosophers believe that the values ​​of humanism can be such basic orientations .

In my opinion, the best solution to these problems would be awareness of  

tragic prospects of mankind in the face of the nuclear threat, the threat of starvation and environmental catastrophe.

Thus, we can be better global citizens with these human values.
