Рассказ о школе

Hello! I am a small spider. I want to tell you about the place where I live. It’s not a flat, it’s school. It’s school №2. It’s an old and rather small house. There are 2 floors in it but I prefer the ground floor because there are always more pupils there and I can hear the news and watch these funny creatures. I like the hall. It is in the centre of the building. There are a lot of pictures, photos, posters and ads there. I usually read them at night.  On the left there are classrooms of primary school. The lessons are so interesting there: pupils work with interactive boards, draw, and sing. They do exercises in the hall so I seldom walk to that noisy part of school because there is danger that children can see me (they are so curious and I don’t like it!).

         The place where I like to go is the first floor. I can learn history and geography, maths and languages. The assembly hall is there, too. It is so comfortable in it! The curtains make the hall bright and nice indeed. The conferences and concerts take place here. The doctor’s room is not far. Pupils don’t like it. (Why?) The rooms they like are the canteen and the café. They can eat so many tasty things in them! In the café there is an exhibition of children’s photographs and they watch school video and listen to music. But they don’t stay there long – it’s time to study. In every classroom there are showcases that view and   tell stories about our pupils’ travelling abroad, (I wish I went far away!)   about the winners and competitors of different contests and tournaments and many other things. The places I know least of all are in the school yard. They are workshops, the library and the gym. Many schoolchildren are active and play games before and after classes. They do athletics, play football, basketball and tag. They stay in the library for hours!

If you ask pupils what lessons they like more they’ll name different subjects. It’s nice that they are so inquisitive. I don’t like the lessons of foreign languages (they study 4 European languages) because I can’t speak them but students do speak and even study abroad. In my opinion, the best lesson for boys and many girls is Safe Living Basics  and the teacher Vladimir Yuryevich who takes pupils hiking, shows them how to climb a huge tree. (useful for spiders!)

There is no doubt all teachers here are very knowledgeable and helpful that’s why there is good cooperation at school between teachers and students. The school is rather famous and now it is one of “100 best schools in Russia”.

You know, it is always clean in this school. My greatest enemy is the cleaner Vera Petrovna, who works hard all day long and I am tired of making off every time I see her. So I’ve decided to leave this building. Do you let the room?
