Languages for Everybody

           Nowadays it is very necessary to know a foreign language. The total number   of languages in the world is from 2500 to 5000.I think that the knowledge of foreign languages helps people understand each other better or when they travel.

Another reason of learning a foreign language is that learning it one can learn the culture, the history   and the life of other countries.        

For example, English is spoken all over the world and it’s very popular. It is  the global language. Three quarters of the word’s mail and its telexes are  in English. More than 80 per cent of the information of the  world’s computers is also in English. Almost all international conferences and competitions are held in English, for example, the world cups, the Olympics. Diplomats and politicians from different countries use English to communicate with each other.

  I have been learning English for almost 8 years. I study English because I want to read English books of great writers in the original. I want to communicate with people from different countries. I like to travel. Speaking English I can travel everywhere, because more than 1 billion people speak English. There are a lot of films in English. If you know English, you can understand films without any help.

How do I learn English? First of all I read a lot of books, newspapers and magazines. I try to learn few new words every day. Listening to the radio, watching videos and educational TV programmes in English help me, too. But the best way to learn English is speaking English. I have joint some social networks, such as Facebook, Twitter, where I use English with many people from English-speaking countries. I try my best to take part in all English out-of-class activities,too.

My weak point is grammar, but it is very important for me. Because you can’t build a house without foundation.

I’m sure that the knowledge of English or any other foreign    language is necessary for every good employee.

I like studying English and I would like to learn French and Spanish.
