“ Charlie and the chocolate factory “ is a children’s story by Roald Dahl. This book is about young Charlie Bucket (the boy from a poor family which found the Golden Ticket to the factory) and about the adventures of him inside the chocolate factory of the eccentric chocolatier, Willy Wonka.

Another children beside Charlie who found one of the five golden tickets hidden inside Wonka bars were from rich families. Those children were :Violet Bnauregarde(a girl who chewed gum all day), Veruca Salt, (a girl who was spoiled),Augustus Gloop(a boy who ate constantly), Mike Teavee(a boy who loved to watch television).

There were strange and fantastical rooms in the factory : a chocolate-mixing room, a research and development room, a nut- sorting room with a lot of squirrels that sort the good nuts from the bad, a TV studio-like room.

When children and Mr. Wonka were traveling about the factory different strange things began to happen: Augustus Gloop fell in the chocolate river; Violet tried some of Mr.Wonka’s three-course-dinner gum and became violet like a blueberry; Veruca tried to grab one of the trained squirrels and after that they pushed her into the hole in the floor; Mike Teavee tried to use the Wonkavision machine and became very little.

Charlie was the winner at the end of the story because another children were so spoiled and they couldn’t control their desires. He won the prize (Mr. Wonka wanted to pass his factory on to someone else and wanted to choose a child). But Charlie refused from the prize. The main idea of the story – the family is the most important thing.
