Teachers do not only teach their subjects. They develop their pupils' intellect, their attitudes to life and to other people.

We always remember what they say and how they act. Teachers are with us during all our life. They put much energy and their efforts to bring up children. They give their love to the pupils.

Teachers should not only give knowledge to their pupils but understand their problems, help them to become real citizens of their country, be honest, kind and hard - working. .

For education to be successful, teachers and pupils should work together . Teachers encourage their pupils to do things successfully .

It is very difficult to be a teacher, because sometimes pupils do not behave properly. Teachers also should be patient and kind.

. When the lessons are over, all pupils run home, but the teacher stays at school late : it is necessary to write plans, check up our tests and homework , or make a scenario for a holiday and do many other things.

I know it because my Mum is a teacher. Her name is Elena Alexandrovna. She teaches me and my classmates Russian and Literature. My mum is the strict, but fair teacher . She can give bad marks even to excellent pupils if they don`t have homework! She is very tactful. Teaching requires infinite patience.

And I must say that our teacher is very patient correcting our mistakes in reading, writing and spelling.

We are lucky to have such a nice teacher of Russian! She loves children, and it is very important in a teacher's work.

She always looks perfect, and pupils never see her face angry or unfriendly.

Elena Alexandrovna is a very good professional. She is competent in everything what she teaches us. All her lessons are interesting and we learn a lot about writers and their books, national customs and traditions of Russian culture.

She is also a very creative person: she takes part in different contests, sports competitions.

Last year our teachers won the first prize in the regional championship .

Teachers should be well- educated themselves. She is also the winner of the regional competition “The best class teacher”.

I wish we could spend more time together playing, laughing or simply talking ! But I know she is very busy and when we all sleep at night my teacher continues turning over the pages of books and invents something unusual to her pupils . She prepares for tomorrow`s lessons...
