Комикс "Петух и курица"

On his way he saw a beautiful shop- window. There were peas, beans, millet, rice and other kinds of grain. The Cock stopped and looked and looked and looked .The sunset was already there and our hero started his way again.

Once   the Hen fell seriously ill.  She had a high temperature,   felt unwell herself and asked the Cock to hurry up to the chemist for some medicines.

There lived a pretty Hen. She was a wife of a bright and a gay Cock. They were faithful friends.

The Cock ran out quickly to the nearest chemist. He wanted to order some pills. But on his way he met his friend. They talked, and talked, and talked because they were very glad to see each other. An hour later the Cock remembered about his ill wife and saying «Bye», ran away.

But where was his wife? Her little paws were upwards, her little tail was downwards. Poor Hen died.

Tick -Tock. Tick-tock. It’s 12 p.m. He ran into the chemist, took the pills and ran back home.

Leaving the cinema the Cock was happy. He danced, sang, bought an ice-cream. Then he met the familiar dog, who cried: «We are upset, your wife is ill».

Passing by the cinema poster he stopped and a few minutes later   decided to see the film.

I think it is clear for the adults and for the children that it is no use charting, dancing, singing and having pleasure instead of saving the sick friend.
