Здравствуйте! Меня зовут Майя Сидорова. Я учусь в 8 классе в МОУ «Гимназия №3» г. Юбилейный. Моего учителя английского языка зовут Есетова Наталья Павловна.
HI! My name is Maya Sidorova. I study in the 8th Form in the 3rd school in Yubileiny. My English-teacher’s name is Esetova Natalya Pavlovna.
I have been taking part in Macmillan Edition contests for many years. It’s My Summer Reads and English Grammar Online Olympiad. I like to take part there. I study book “Macmillan Grammar and Vocabulary” and my English-teacher helps me to do it. I think reading books help me to improve my English.
Last year I've read a lot of books. I read “This Is London” by Philip Prowse, “Jane Eyre” by Charlotte Brontё, “The Last Of The Mohicans” by James Fennimore Cooper, “The Last Leave And Other Stories” by O. Henry. These books are from the 2nd level. I also read “Princess Diaries-1” and “Princess Diaries-2 ” by Meg Cabot. These books are from the 3rd level. I read “Robinson Crusoe” by Daniel Defoe too. This book is from the 4th level.
This year I read these books: “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” by Robert Louse Stevenson, “The Picture Of Dorian Gray” by Oscar Wilde. These books are from the 3rd level. I also read “The Call Of The Wild” by Jack London, “I, Robot” by Isaac Asimov, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by William Shakespeare, “The Princess Diaries-3” by Meg Cabot. These books are from 4th level.
I find it very exciting to travel with favourite characters around the world. Most of all I liked "I, Robot" by Isaac Asimov. He started writing and selling stories at the age of 19. His best books are about the future. “I, Robot” is a story about future, where intelligent robots do the entire difficult and unpleasant job. They can think and learn. In this book robots obey especial laws, which adjust robots’ operations. From each chapter robots become better and better. For example in the first chapter they couldn’t talk and in the one of last chapters they could read minds. In the last chapter we can read about robot-humanoid. But when robots become perfected it becomes hardly to communicate with them because they think that they excel in people. There are many heroes in this book. My favourite hero is Susan Calvin. She’s a robot-psychologist. She tells robots about interrelations between people and robots. I think that she’s a very smart because robots always listen to her.
I recommend this book to my friends because this book tells us that not all is not gold that glitters.
I recommend Macmillan Reader Books to all my friends and relatives: to my cousin Igor, who study physics and math, to my aunt Kate who works as radiologist and studies in internship, to my aunt Natalia who is designer and creative director. My mother, who learned Deutch now reads “This Is London” by Philip Prowse and studies “Macmillan Primary Grammar-3”.
I bought these books: “The Hound Of Baskervilles” by sir Arthur Conan-Doyle. This books is from the 3rd level. I also bought “Princess Diaries-4” by Meg Cabot, “Romeo And Juliet” by William Shakespeare, “The Treasure Of Monte-Christo” by Alexander Dumas. These books are from the 4th level. I bought “Oliver Twist” and “David Copperfield” by Charles Dickens too. These books are from the 5th level. And I bought “The Creative Impulse And Other Stories ” by Somerset Maugham. This book is from the 6th level. I will read all these books to the next contents. Goodbye!
