Jurassic ParkСлайд 2
Have you ever heard about a great American sci-fi writer M. Crichton? I find him really worth spending time on! The main idea of his books is that the human mind is a dark, bottomless pit, sometimes working in a strange and frightening way...
Слайд 3
The book that impressed me most was, surely, “Jurassic Park” – a mixture of science, horror and drama.

Just imagine: bioengineers clone 15 species of dinosaurs and establish an island preserve where tourists can view amazing reptiles!
Слайд 5
But chaos ensues when a rival genetic firm attempts to steal frozen dinosaur embryos, and it’s up to Dr. Alan Grant, a paleontologist, to set things right. Grant is described as a barrel-chested, forty-year old man. As he once said, he was a widower, persistent in his plans not to marry again till death.
Слайд 6
Alan is also a father-like figure, loving kids and finding joy in the fact that they saw dinosaurs to be so nurturing. Grant’s a person of great bravery, he’ll never miss a chance to show it, if there’s an opportunity.

The book was written about 15 years ago, but it still remains “a scary, creepy, mesmerizing technothriller with teeth”, as S. Spielberg once admitted. Maybe, not the best sci-fi book ever written, “Jurassic Park” fills out the film version’s kinetic storyline additional scenes, dialogue and explanations while still maintaining Crichton’s trademark thrills-n-pacing.
