When I think of Great Britain, I immediately imagine the British official flag called Union Jack, the crown of the British Queen Elizabeth II (the crown symbolizes the Parliamentary Monarchy). Nobody can imagine Great Britain without red double-deckers in its streets. Sure, all places of interest in London, the capital of the country, are worth visiting and admiring. If I had a chance to visit this wonderful, rich in customs and traditions ancient country, I would visit, first of all, Big Ben (nowadays called the Tower of Elizabeth II) and the London Eye (I would have a chance to see the whole London at once). As for my native country, which I love with all my heart, I associate it a white birch which is much more Russian tree than other ones. Russia means big cities and small villages, but the most beautiful and magnificent one is our great capital Moscow with its symbol of the Kremlin. I suppose, no one foreigner comes back from Russia without a traditional souvenir – matryoshka. Speaking about my country we can’t but mention the great, famous all over the world ballet. In Sochi Olympiad we were so happy to see the flag of the Russian Federation as the symbol of the victories of our superb sportsmen. I am glad that this year is devoted to the cultures of our great countries and we’ll learn much more interesting information about each other.
