Every year on March 17, the Irish and the Irish-at-heart across the globe observe St. Patrick’s Day. What began as a religious feast day for the patron saint of Ireland has become an international festival celebrating Irish culture with parades, dancing, special foods and a whole lot of green.
Saint Patrick is the patron saint and national apostle of Ireland. St Patrick is credited with bringing christianity to Ireland.
Paying tribute to tradition, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took part in the annual parade dedicated to Saint Patrick's Day.
Shamrock - symbol of Ireland and is a registered trademark of the Republic of Ireland .
Harp - a symbol of Ireland and at the same time a symbol of St. Patrick's Day .
"Drain the shamrock" in honor of the holiday!
Leprechaun - Irish folklore character portrayed small stocky little man, dressed in a green suit and hat .
