Biography Sergey Ustyugov is an athlete, a champion, who is called one of the most promising skiers in the world. Sergey broke into professional sports and, apparently, is not going to stop at the victories achieved. He is called an all-rounder, equally successful in both sprint races and long-distance competitions.

childhood and youth Ustyugov was born in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug , in the village of Mezhdurechenskiy on April 8, 1992. In an interview, he admitted that he annoyed his parents and grew up as a restless child. There were 2 more boys growing up in the family — Mikhail and Vladimir. Seryozha began to be interested in sports in early childhood: his mother Natalia Pavlovna and father Alexander Gavrilovich decided that boxing would be the best form of leisure for such an active offspring. However, Sergey did not like to "wave his fists". After some time in the life of Ustyugov , the transition to biathlon took place. Skiing and target shooting pleased the novice athlete much more than boxing gloves and a ring. The choice was made. Soon Sergey was already ahead of his peers in speed and accuracy. There was a dream to win serious peaks

childhood and youth Interestingly, the parents reacted with displeasure to the choice of their son: training began to distract from studying. Teachers set diligent brothers as an example. However, Sergey himself was determined to go forward. Yes, and the anxiety of adults managed to pacify after Ustyugov went to get a higher education at the Tobolsk Pedagogical Institute. When the guy turned 11, the coach suggested that the boy try skiing. Sergey did not immediately agree, but decided to listen to the mentor's advice. The first steps in the new sport were not very successful, but after a while Ustyugov showed enviable results at an early age, representing his hometown at children's and youth races.

Skiing Sergey Ustyugov's name quickly got into the coveted list of candidates for the junior national team of the country. This moment can be considered the beginning of a professional sports biography of a skier. Ustyugov joined the Russian team and successfully performed at the world championship. The 2011-2012 ski season was marked for Sergey Ustyugov by the World Championship, which was held in Turkey. Here the athlete seriously declared himself, taking first places in the races. In the same season, Ustyugov performed no less brilliantly at international competitions in Estonia, which earned him a place in the first Russian national team.

Skiing It seemed that the skier's career would continue to develop just as smoothly, but the next season (2012-2013) prepared an unpleasant surprise for Ustyugov . Sergey moved from the youth division to the youth division, the level of rivals increased, and Ustyugov failed the races in which he participated. However, stubbornness did not allow the young man to give up, and the athlete partially rehabilitated, ending the season with a victory in the 30-kilometer skiathlon and a bronze in the team relay. In 2014, Sergey, as part of the Russian national team, went to the first Olympic Games in Sochi. Even before the start of the competition, world experts were inclined to believe that Sergey Ustyugov would become the favorite of this season. But the Russian did not live up to the hopes of coaches and fans: Ustyugov finished the single sprint in fifth position. Later, the skier admitted to reporters that the rivals were stronger than he expected, and that there was a long work ahead on mistakes.
