Addiction develops in 4 stages: Stage 1. Addiction is an addictive disease. At this stage, the body gets used to a certain dose and requires more. Dose Law: If a person continues to use drugs, he switches from lower doses to larger ones and from less powerful substances to stronger ones. If the person does not stop using, the next stage of addiction begins.

Problems arise (period of "denial") This stage is characterized by: Health problems (hangover, withdrawal symptoms, discomfort after consumption, infectious diseases); Loss of control over behavior (trauma, violence, crime); Indiscriminate sex (sexually transmitted diseases, unwanted pregnancy, relationship problems); Family scandals; Financial difficulties (debts, selling things from home, constantly looking for money); The main social circle is those who use drugs; Conflicts with the law. At this stage, physical dependence arises. The drug does not bring the desired pleasure, but is used to bring the body back to normal. The person has not yet linked his problems with drug use. The emerging problems justify further use. Consumption brings new problems. Cause and effect are reversed. It is almost impossible to stop using at this stage on your own, you need the help of specialists. Continued use necessarily leads to a transition to the next stage of addiction.

This becomes the goal ("bottom") This stage is characterized by: Use for the sake of use; Constant need for drugs; Use of the most extreme measures in seeking doses; Destruction of moral values; Apathy and unwillingness to live, loss of the meaning of existence; Attempted suicide; Serious health problems, the occurrence of chronic diseases; Break with family, friends, society. At this stage, there are profound physiological changes, is completely dependent on drugs. The use of substances becomes necessary for existence. The brain has forgotten how to independently regulate the neurochemical balance and cannot perceive the world around it without the next dose. If the addict does not stop using at this stage, he dies.
