It was created by the Russian Government on April 23, 1994.
It is situated in the Northern part of the Komi Republic and the Sub-arctic Urals.
It borders on Pechora- I lych Nature Reserve.
In 1995 the forest area including the Y ugyd Va National Park was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, Virgin Komi Forests.
More than half of the park is covered with the taiga forest, the rest is tundra.
Historical and cultural monuments: Ust Podcherema parking; Podcheremsky treasure; Posedeniye Kozhym ; Kodym location.
The highest mountains are Manaraga Neroyka Telpos-iz Sablya
Lakes - Torgovoye and Dlinnoye - Bolshoye Balbanty ; - Okunevoye Rivers - Kozhym ; - Bolshaya Synya ; - Vangyr
190 bird species live in the park: Red-breasted Goose Osprey Golden Eagle Merlin Peregrine White-tailed Eagle
23 fish species Salmon Siberian grayling Peled Trout Whitefish Cheer Others
5 amphibian and 1 reptile species Siberian salamander
Among the mammals there are Hares Flying squirrels Reindeers Ermines Otters Wolves Arctic foxes Wolverines Bears Weasels
4000 tourists visit Yugyd Va every year
