Gorodets and Semenov
One of them is a trip to Gorodets.It’s a town of masters.
Gorodets was founded in 1152 by Prince Yury Dolgoruky ( the founder of Moscow)
In 1239, the town was burnt by Baty Khan's army.
You can go on an excursion round the town and visit the local museums .
Children will enjoy visiting the museum of toys.
YOU can also have an excursion to the factory"Gorodetsckaya Rospis" and visit the saint spring "Nickolin Klyuch" in the village Smirkino.
A famous medieval icon-painter, Prokhor, was born there.
Semenov is a town In Nizhny Novgorod Region and the capital of golden Khochloma
You can visit the local museum, the factory "Khochlomskaya Rospis" and even take part in painting matreshkas (Russian wooden dalls).
You'll enjoy going round the town which is the architectural monument itself in the open air. In the village of Vladimirskoye it's worth visiting the museum "Kitezh" and children's cultural ethnic centre.
Tourists are also attracted by the mysterious lake Svetloyar.
