Globalization trends in cinematography.

1) It is evident that the world is getting globalised.

2) Globalization influences Russian’s cultural life, its art, music and cinematography.

3) Any country can escape the influence of globalization and get back to its old traditional culture and lifestyle.

It is a common knowledge that globalization is a process of formation and development of new world system of relations between the countries and the people. National and regional problems develop into the universal^[1]. More than that globalization influences Russian’s cultural life, its art, music and cinematography. People in different corners of the world start to share the same interest and preferences; their lifestyles and pastimes are becoming more and more alike. But at the same time globalization provokes unification of ethnic communities, cultural diversity, egoistic dominance in the relations between States and peoples.

It is a well known fact that American cinema is the most competitive in the world market, positive features of globalization of the film process are realized primarily by them. But from my point of view Russian cinematograph plays a very important role in the world too. The first Soviet action is "Pirates of the XX century" filmed in 1979, directed by Boris Durov became the most  popular. The first Soviet disaster film "The crew" was the leader of hire in 1980.It has got more than 70 million viewers .The film is unique. Everyone would probably agree with me that a great number of our films got a lot of awards. Moscow international film Festival annually takes participants from around the world and makes an undeniable contribution to the development of the modern Russian film industry. To my mind films that are made in Russia nowadays are interesting for young people as well as suitable for family viewing..

It is said that Hollywood is the capital of film industry. A lot of my mates are of the same opinion. Hollywood is really able to organize the premiere of its new film in 58 countries in one and the same day. American films are picturesque, full of special effects and catchy. Top ten films on all the charts of greatest films of all times are Hollywood. 

It is true but modern Hollywood cinema is for teenagers. The creators of the films intended for an audience till the age of 25 who go to the cinema companies. They are used to advertising and are happy to spend money on popcorn. Besides we shouldn’t forget the fact that American films are full of fights of different types, they teach aggression, violence.

To conclude with the process of globalization is going to speed up, it is an integral part of the life of each of us. Many positive moments can be found in this process for the cinema. People anywhere in the world can watch almost any film and enjoy acting of favourite filmstars. Every person today can not only find pictures to its taste, but also for information. Thanks to the spread of the Internet, even a low-budget film can be seen by millions. And new filmmakers can be seen and new actors get a real chance to start a career.

Cinema is one of the main forms of cultural leisure of the population. After a survey among students of our school, as well as their parents, we learned which films they prefer more. We also found out where they like to spend their leisure time.
