«Моё видение Британской кухни»

                   "My View on  Modern British cuisine"

Вступление [титульныйлист]:  As you know, Britain has a great variety of national and traditional food and dishes. But time passes by…..

  And today there are a lot of popular restaurants, cafés and bars with unusual food.

Today I want to present you my vision of British food. I want to convey the idea that British food can be strange and unusual sometimes. Here is my top-five of places I want to visit if I am in London.

[2-3слайд]:The 5th place in my top takes unusual restaurant «Garlic and Shots».

This place is located in Soho, one of the most popular districts in London. So, this restaurant looks like a biker bar, there is always good music and cool atmosphere.

But if you remember the name of this place, I think you understand, that all food in this restaurant is made with garlic: ……… 

And what is more, there is even ice cream.
The visitors consider this place to be cool, but if you don’t like garlic you shouldn’t go there.

As for me,I’d like to taste roast beef and some  desserts with garlic.

[4-5слайд]:   I don’t forget about traditional 5 o’clock tea.

And the 4th place in my top takes a very cute café «Tea Rooms».

If you want to relax and feel at home you should  visit this place. There is a lot of different sorts of tea, about 80. And you may taste cakes, muffins or scones.

As for me, If I’m there I would order classical black tea (without milk!) and scones with raspberry jam.

[6-7слайд]: I can’t skip restaurants with strange names.
So, the 3th place in my top takes the place with the unusual name «Duck and waffle».

This restaurant is located on the 40th floor of the Heron Tower, so you can enjoy the view when you eat your food. «Duck and Waffles» can cook something of national food but there are lots of special dishes typical only for this place.  

As for me, duck with waffles is not my cup of tea, I think it can make me sick.

I don’t know about you, but I really like the story about Sherlock Holmes and I can’t  help visiting  the place which  is dedicated to the great detective.

[8-9слайд] :So, the 2nd place in my top is given to «Speedy’s sandwich bar and café». It is the iconic location of Sherlock Holmes’s apartment in the famous BBC series.
If you are a Sherlock fan, you should visit this place.   The food  there is very cheap and tasty. One ought to follow the recommendation to taste  the English Breakfast. It includes eggs, bacon, tomatoes and beans.

The atmosphere in the cafe is nice and  the staff is friendly.

As for me, I’ rather not order English breakfast, because I don’t like eggs.

I’d better order tea and toast with jam.

[10-11 слайд]:The1st place in my top takes «Sherlock Holmes Pub»

The Sherlock Holmes pub is a traditional English pub serving pints and pub food.

As well as a bar and restaurant, the pub has a secret - a complete recreation of Holmes and Watson's study. There is the sitting room with a large collection of objects and photographs related to the characters from the books and adaptations.

The pub is famous for the best fish and chips in London. So, I would like to taste it,too.

[Заключение]: In conclusion I want to say that the British food can be different, unusual, and a little bit crazy sometimes, but still it is worth tasting!
