The media is everywhere no matter where we are. It is connected with all sides of our life. It influences our feelings, or private life, career and even the future.

The aim of my report to highlight and analyze all sides of TV, radio and press in Great Britain to innumerate advantages and disadvantages of mass media. to point out mass media influence on different levels of British society.

To solve this problem and come to the conclusion how the media influences our lifestyle my tasks are: to analyze thoroughly media organization, to provide opinions of some scientists about the impact of Mass media on people’s views, children’s mind and psyche, to trace the trends of development and consequences of using media in everyday life.

Television in life of Britain’s people. Television is a most powerful and dominant mean of mass media in modern Britain, as well as a very popular entertainment. More than 99% of the population have TVs, about 95% of which are colored, and more than half of all households have two or more TVs.

The first good point of using media is, that f or some people(for example disabled) this is the single way to live a full life. It is very important for them because by using media they can learn, communicate with friends and just forget that they have any problems with health, Just enjoy their life.

Also f or some people watching TV is the way to d evelop spiritually and some people use media as entertainment . Also British scientists conducted an experiment: how television affects animals? It turned out that the animals are susceptible to the influence of it not less than people.

But never the less if you offer your family, friends or children to watch any television programs or just to read aloud today’s newspaper, be careful . Media is not so harmless, as you think . Parents should control interests and preferences of there children on TV and over the radio.

Watching or reading programs or reports, full of violence, some persons become mentally retarded , and there were some cases, when they commited suicide or even killed other people!

The next problem related to mass media is that TV, press and radio are full of gossips and false and discrediting information.

Public life of princess Diana was widely discussed by the press. So it wasn’t proved for sure, but there is common opinion, that she perished due to constant following by paparazzi which led to the accident. They are to blame for her death.
