Disposition The tenth of August of 1915 British Military Units have landed on the bay Sulva. In that time Gallipoli was severe place because of unbearable heat. It wasn't the theatre of war , it was real hell.

Before the Battle The Norfolk’s brigade, which was a part of British battle group, had been thrown into the battle without preparation. The commander-in-chief Hamilton thought that this is the unique chance to win a victory. Hamilton had planned a massive assault by the wide front. However, the operation had been condemned to failure because of unsuccessful prospecting of area.

Disappearance 163 rd brigade hadn’t overcome even thousand meters than It had engaged in bloody fight versus Turkish forces. But the battalion « 1/5 » had continued approach. Soldiers had restricted the enemy into the forest, but no one had come back. 267 men had passed into nothingness!

Cloud « There was a clear windy day, however over a battlefield stopped some clouds of absolutely identical form. When the battalion "1/5" has come nearer to them, one of clouds failed downwards and absorbed group. After an hour it has risen on normal height and disappeared from a kind » . Conclusion As actually was not though the history, disappearance of a battalion «1/5» became a symbol – a symbol of a failure of Gallipolian operation, and a symbol of courage even towards the most terrible. Sir Bosham and its battalion became the LEGEND

Investigation of 1918 In 1918 British armies had returned in Turkey. Then British soldiers found 122 dead bodies of lost regulars. They had scattered in 750 meters behind the front line. Almost kilometer! And this isn’t all lost soldiers. It’s inexplicable if we don’t allow for the story about a strange cloud.
