Our main aim is the protection of the environment in the Saratov region. In recent years the influence of businesses on the condition of the atmosphere has declined significantly due to a sharp fall in production.

In this connection, the focus of environmental communities aimed at reducing emissions from motor vehicles. This aim can be achieved in several ways.

One of these ways was the creation of the Environmental Police, whose main focus was the strict supervision so that the vehicles match the existing requirements and emissions of vehicles meet regulatory levels. It is considered a very serious achievement of the environmental regulation and the introduction of the Governor of the prohibition on the use of leaded gasoline by petrol stations in Saratov. Stopping the use of such fuel significantly reduces the impact of vehicles on the health of the population, i.e. the habitat residents dramatically improves.

Another side of protecting the atmosphere from pollution is an intensive green urban area. We can also take part in gardening in our area. The important fact is waste of industrial and daily life of the population. Unfortunately, the problem of waste is still very relevant. The situation with the domestic waste is somehow solved, but with the industry ones it is not solved at all. The city still has no industrial waste landfill. Ecological state of the Saratov region is characterized as a complicated.

Conclusion. However, there are a lot of simple things we should all do to stop the destruction of the environment. First of all, we must keep our towns clean. That means, we mustn’t drop letter in public places. If we see litter on the ground, we must put it into a litter bin. Besides, we shouldn’t dump our rubbish without thinking which things, such as bottles and paper, can be recycled.

Conclusion. We must stop using aerosol sprays because the stuff they contain destroys the ozone layer. We should take care of birds and animals. We can help to plant trees and create parks for endangered species. We can clean rivers and canals and create footpaths. But first of all we must change people’s attitude towards the environment.
