Dear friends,

My name is Sonya. I am 13. I live in the most beautiful country in the world. I live in Russia. My native town is located in the southern part of Russia, in Krasnodar region. People from every corner of the world know this territory. In 2014 Winter Olympic Games took place in Sochi.  My native town is Gulkevichi.  It is not very far from Sochi and I would like to tell you about it.

Gulkevichi is a small quiet town. The population is about 40 thousand people. There are some plants and factories. My father works in one of them. My mum is a doctor. She works in the hospital. We have a big one.

 There is a new big church in my town. It was built in 2008. My mum and I sometimes visit it. You can see some monuments and memorials, a nice cinema, an old railway station, a museum. There are a lot of shops, supermarkets and markets in Gulkevichi.

I am a pupil. I go to school number 2. I am in the 7th form. I like my school, my teachers and of course my classmates. We are good friends. 

I like my town especially in spring. It is nice and green. There are a lot of flowers everywhere in the streets. We like to go to the park, to the town squares, to walk in the streets. The weather is usually fine. At the weekends we often have picnics near the ponds or near the river Kuban. The nature around the town is fantastic!

 I invite you to Gulkevichi. I want you to come and join us during our spring holidays. Gulkevichi is worth visiting! I hope to see you soon.
