Introduction
The natural beauty of a woman is spectacular. Every woman has a different type of beauty, some are tall, short, long-haired, short-haired and so on. But today's beauty standards are judgmental. Our culture defines beauty in a very narrow range shapes. Society is obsessed with perfection. But this perfection is a lie. It makes women and girls feel inadequateand not beautiful if they don't match up to "what is beautiful". Beauty standards of today are based on lies. We are used to see "beautiful" women with surgeries, tons of make up, high heels to look taller and a lot of other things for "being attractive". Why do we appreciate that beauty?
What does it mean to be "beautiful"
What's an attractive face? It's a symmetrical face. Most important, it's an averaged face. Averaged, that is, in terms of position and size of all the facial features. Some faces are more pleasing to look at than others. It's a question of harmony and the placement of features. The pictures of the young girl with wide-set eyes and a small nose is easier on the eye.Extremes are off-putting and usually are not attractive. Symmetrical faces and bodies may be signs of good inheritance to women of child-bearing age seeking to create healthy offspring.Beauty is based on youth and on a certain look. When you're old, you're invisible. In short, it is necessary to be symmetric and young so the majority could consider you as beautiful human being.
Some old beauty standards that changed throughout history
The concept of beauty changes over time and even in the past the beauty got painfully. For example, although many women these days strive for sun-kissed skin, in the 1400s, pale, almost translucent skin was ideal, mostly because it symbolized aristocracy. In fact, freckles were quite unaccepted among society, and women went to great lengths by using mercury, lemon juice, and even arsenic as methods of whitening skin. Having a tan in these days meant you were poor and had to work out in the sun. In the Renaissance period particularly, fuller, more voluptuous figures were considered the most beautiful. This was because plus-sized women typically indicated wealth and an abundance of food. This idea resurfaced in the 1950s when curvy hourglass figures were not only accepted, but glorified.King Louis XIII of France was tired of being mocked for his baldness, and decided to wear a voluptuous wig to show the world his virility. Soon after that, all the aristocrats of the world started wearing wigs, turning it into a sign of wealth and prominence. There are a lot more examples. But the main thought that the concept of beauty changed always and will change again and again.
Effects of commercials on women
Some facts:
We should show that beauty can be different. We must think about wellness of girls and women. Commercials, telecasts called "how to become perfect". This things can just destroy our women inside.
Conclusion
I believe that people can find the beauty in everything. Perfection is in variety. But at the same time our society frames healthy in terms of what it thinks is attractive. These need to be divorced from each other. Health is a complex thing, and we are almost expected to sacrifice it for the sake of beauty. Beauty standards always were unhealthy and you we don't have to consider it as an ideal of humans body. Our society frames healthy in terms of what it thinks is attractive. These need to be divorced from each other. Health is a complex thing, and we are almost expected to sacrifice it for the sake of beauty. In closing: take care of yourself, no matter what body shape you have, and don’t let anyone tell you that you are healthy or unhealthy, beautiful or ugly.
