Moscow Zoo is the oldest zoo. It was opened in 1864 . The zoo is opened every day from 10 o’clock every day. Very many animals live in the zoo today. People brought many animals from other zoos and many animals were born in Moscow zoo.

In all zoos there are a lot of animals, and Moscow zoo not an exception. In Moscow zoo there are more than 6000 kinds of animals, birds, insects.

Some animals are rate, panda or white tiger for example.

Rhinas and elephants eat a lot! During the day elephants eat grass, carrots, apples, potatoes , bread and vitamins and drink 100 litres of water!

In the childrens zoo there are many pets and farm animals. You can see pigs, cows, sheep, horses, dogs, cats, ponies there.

In the children’s zoo zookeepers show children how to milk a cow. They give the milk to the other animals of the zoo. In summer you can ride a pony or a camel in the zoo. You can see, how the keepers give food to snakes, lions and penguins.

My lovely pet in the zoo is a tiger. It is a big cat. I like a tiger because it is a cat, and I like cats. They have very big teeth with very big paws.
