«Литература рождается из глубины народной души»

«Literature is born from the depths of the national soul».

This wise statement was made by the famous Polish poet Adam Mitskevich. And I`m absolutely sure that he was right.

Every nation has its own literature. People from many countries all over the world can deservedly proud of their national poets, writers and artists. And of course literature of different nations is very diverse. Each one reflects some facts about national history, people’s problems, situation in the country… In one world, everything that take  place in people’s souls and hearts. Moreover, each nation adds its specific features in the World’s Literature bank.

But sometimes literature looks similar. It can often be when several nations grow and develop in the neighborhood. They have identical views and common political interests. But they are also different in the same time. Both have their own traditions and customs, which take  place in many national stories and tales.

There are a lot of historic events in the national folklore and ancient  books. These books, which were written so long time ago, can tell us the truth. Tales and legends are required too. These stories passed from generation to generation by word of mouth, saving the history of nation and country.

There are a lot of kinds of literature in the world. Beautiful poems, exiting novels, scientific publications, documentary books – these all genres are so specific and unique in different nations. They are unrepeatable and have their own features.

Famous writers all over the world have different views of posed problem, portray their characters in various situations, express their own opinion in the books.

They have unique vision of the world and share it with their readers.

Literature is very necessary in any time and various situations. We can’t imagine our life without  it. You can find the answer to any question on the pages of thousands books. It can help you in different situations. If you don’t know what to do in some difficult situation you should just remember how one or the other character acted and what was the result in the similar situation in any book you have read.

Particular events, such as war, for instance, can’t be overloocked by literature. There are a lot of stories, poems, books and other literary works about The Second World War. The horror that people of different nations has experienced in that war was terrible. Writers tried to pick up the morale of soldiers in every way. Literature of wartime has a great amount of brave, strong behavior examples. It supported people in the hard time and make them believing in themselves.

When people read foreign books, they can also discover a lot about other nations. For example, their lifestyle, history, customs and traditions. If you can read books in the original, you can more clearly understand what writers want to say.
