Comparison analysis of four pictures on the topic “School”
All of the four pictures that I can see now have one theme – school. But, of course, they all have some similarities and differences.
The first free pictures have other connections among one another and the fourth picture is connected with the others only with a help of the school theme. On this picture we see some things that will be helpful for us in a school life such as a pen, a pencil, a map, TV, a workbook, a microscope, training appliances, a globe and a table.
Three pictures left have something more interesting in common than just a school theme. For example, teachers at school often try to hammer knowledge in our heads and it makes us sad. The girl on the first picture is upset under the pressure of her teacher and books. Her face does not look smart and she definitely needs rest. Absolutely another situation is on the second and the third pictures – teachers are explaining the material to the students, they are trying to make them understand and this is the most important thing in education. Sometimes good explanation gives more than hundreds of lessons. Teachers on these two pictures use right methodic in a studying process, probably curriculum and that is why their students are active, they are listening very attentively. I think these students do not skip their classes because they have good teachers. In my opinion, these teachers sometimes even do not take attendance because all of their students are usually here.
However, there are some differences even between the second and the third pictures. Firstly, teachers wear business-style clothes on both pictures and students wear school uniform only on the third picture, on the second pupils wear free-style clothes. Secondly, we can see that schools where students are taught have different economic situation. On the second picture there is a board where the teacher is writing by a marker, there are also good computers. On the third picture the teacher is writing by a chalk and it tells us that a school does not have money for good equipment. But, actually, the classroom on the third picture is big and full of light. The teacher is standing in the open pose, he is ready to share his experience with pupils, so do they because they are pulling their hands up, they are trying to speak and it means that they have feed back with their teacher. There is another situation on the second picture. The classroom is small and the teacher`s pose shows us his authoritarianism. He is above this class; he is showing something on the board and keeps his head up. He is not going to share anything with students, he is just going to give them knowledge. So, his students keep silence. Actually, we can`t see what is written on the boards on both of these two pictures. It means, that it does not matter what the material is, the main thing is how it is taught.
I strongly believe that a teacher should not be like the teacher on the second picture. It is always easier to understand the lesson when you have a connection with your teacher. That is really important.
To conclude, I would like to say that I found similarities and differences among these four pictures. There is something that is really in common among them – everything and everyone are waiting for the bell and holidays because whatever interesting lesson is, everyone and even training appliances want to rest.
