Shakespeare was born on the 23d of April in 1564 in Stratford upon Avon. His father was a glove-maker and his mother was a daughter of a farmer. William went to a grammar school in Stratford and he got a good education.

All of his famous tragedies and comedies were staged in London. But in 1613 Shakespeare stopped writing and returned to Stratford. There he died in 1616 at the age of 52 .

Shakespeare is famous for his witty and joyful comedies, such as “a Midsummer Night’s Dream”, “Twelfth Night”, “As You Like It” and his deep tragedies such as “Romeo and Juliet”, “Hamlet”, “Othello”, “King Lear” and many others.

If I went to the UK, I would visit the places which are closely connected with Shakespeare`s life.

The Royal Shakespeare Theatre The first building was opened on his birthday in 1879 but was destroyed by fire in 1926. The present building was constructed in 1932. I`d like to watch one of his comedies there.

I`d be happy to visit Holy Trinity Church where Shakespeare was buried. Visitors coming to Stratford admire the beauty of the church and honour his memory. The Holly Trinity Church

Besides , it would be interesting to look at the bronze statue of Shakespeare in Stratford which was presented to this town by Lord Ronald Sutterlnd Gower in 1885.
