William Shakespeare is one of the greatest and most famous writers in the world. He was born in 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon . It was a small English town . His father, John Shakespeare, was a glove-maker. Shakespeare 's mother , Mary Arden , belonged to one of the oldest Saxon families. Shakespeare studied in Stratford grammar school. Some scholars argue that Shakespeare studied at school King Edward VI, where he studied the work of poets such as Ovid and Plautus, but school magazines were not preserved, and now can not say anything for sure.

William loved look at actors. H e decided to become an actor. He went to London. There he became an actor. He began to write plays too. Shakespeare was both an actor and a playwright. Shakespeare wrote 37 plays, many of which were reworking of folk stories and earlier pieces. His plays were staged in many theatres, translated into many languages and they made Shakespeare a very popular man.

The last years of his life moved away from literary work, and lived quietly with his family. This was probably due to the serious illness - as indicated by preserved testament of Shakespeare, compiled clearly hastily March 15, 1616 and signed by the changed script. April 23, 1616 in Stratford-upon-Avon died the most famous playwright of all time. In 1582 he married A. Hesuey ( Hathaway ) , from his marriage with whom he had three children. However, about 1587 left Stratford-upon-Avon and his family and moved to London.
