In 1942, John Mauchly gave a stimulus for creating of the first computer. One day one of the army laboratories of the USA was interested in the project. In 1943, first steps towards creating a computer called “ENIAC” were made. Pentagon gave 500,000$ for this purpose. By the way, ENIAC (Electronical Numerical Integrator and Calculator) is the first computer, which can be programmed. Technical characteristics of the first computer: Weight – 27 tons; Rating – 174 KV; It used – 18000 electronic tubes; Computer memory – 4 KB; It occupied 135 m 2 ; It fulfilled 5000 movements in a second. It was amazing that it had kilometers of telephone cables. Computer was programmed as a telephone communicator, which telephonists served.

There was no a keyboard and a monitor in the computer. The first computer looked like a row of 42 metal boxes packed with electronic tubes, which crated sauna’s effect indoors. Air-cooling was bad and computer stopped working. A binary-number system wasn’t used in the computer. As for programming, it was fulfilled manually. Operations turned good witches on, then they switched the cables. After fulfilment of each programme they had to switched the computer again because it hadn’t hard disk. Later the first computer was used not only for analyses of space radiation, but for creating H-bomb. In 1945, the official tests were held, and they were successful. 1 000 000 punced cards were processed. In spite of its large size and weight had worked for 10 years. Transistor radio was invented in 5 years. It started lessening sizes of computers.

It consist of processor, cooler, motherboard, RAM modules, video card, hard disk and optical drive for reading CD and DVD. Optical drive. It is a device, that can read and write both CD and DVD disks.

Processor in the computer is responsible for the speed of the computer operations. It bears the main load in the daily work with the Internet, listening to music, watching movies. For normal operation of processor, need cooling cooler. Cooler allows the computer to stay cool. Motherboard. This component provides the interaction off all the other parts inside the system unit.

RAM. All open programmes are fulfilled in it. A little repository of memory can make your computer very slow. Video card. A video card influences on how quickly will run on your computer games and how they will be beautiful. Hard disk. It is a repository of all the games, music, photos and movies. Volumes of modern drives are measured in hundreds of gigabytes.
