OUR HOMETOWN IS ELECTROSTAL- Мой родной город Электросталь. (презентация к 75-летию родного города)

Our hometown is Electrostal. All my friends and I were born here. It has many places of interests: museums ,monuments, buildings, cinemas, stadiums, a gallery. It is a nice town.

Electrostal is an important part of Moscow region. There are a lot of plants and factories in it. Our town is situated nearly 60 km from our capital Moscow. Its area is 50 km2. Its population is 155,000 inhabitants.

75 years ago there was a settlement called Zatishye here. There were a lot of bogs and forests round it.

Our town was founded by Nikolay Alexandrovich Wtorov (1866-1918). He was a merchant. He chose the place for the future settlement in our area because there was a railway here and it was suitable for production of steel. There is Wtorov monument in Electrostal.

During World War 1 and World War 2 a lot of shells were produced in the plants of our town.

Electrostal has its own town emblem. It was drawn by Oleg Konyashin. He is well-known Russian artist.

We live in Electrostal. We are proud of our hometown. It has beautiful streets, Lenin square, a wonderful park for children. We can do different sports in our stadiums and sportcentres, swim in modern swimming pools. Welcome to Electrostal !
