In your letter you are interested in my sports preferences. I go in for football. What's more, I've been training for 8 years. Our team has taken part in many matches and we've won a lot of times. We train 4 times a week.
As for our coach, he's very strict, too. I'm sure that it's necessary to be strict when you train teenagers. He makes us do a lot of exercises but it provides excellent results!
Well, where does the championship take place? How many sportsmen are taking part? Whom are you going there with?

Dear Max,
Thanks for your letter. Sorry, I didn't answer at once. I've been really busy recently because tomorrow it will be a very impotent day for me - we're having our school basketball competition.
As you can see, I 'm fond of basketball. Our team is famous for my school. We always participate in competitions and we often win. As for my school, I try to study well and I always do my home- work. Sometimes I'm very tired but I understand that I must do my best because my future depends on my school achievements. That's why I do my homework and after that I go to the gym. Do you like playing basketball? How often to you go to the gym? When was you last championship?

Thanks a lot for your letter. I’m so happy for your first prize.
You ask me what I want to do after leaning school. I’ve always been interested in medicine and everyone says I’m really good at it. I look forward to studying anatomy. I definitaly want to enter Moscow University. I wish I would treat people. It’s very noble! Do you agree with me? My parents fully encourage me with my option. As you know, my mother is a medical worker.
Well, what is your assay about? How long did it take you to write it? Why did you decide to become a journalist?

It is believed that dieting is good for our health. However, there is evidence that it is harmful and can do more harm than good.
Nowadays, people ponder on a healthy life style. Some do physical exercises, have proper nutrition, do not smoke, do not drink alcohol. Others think that it is a claptrap, that dieting will lead Abadan health. The question 'harm or not' has been regarded as controversial, though.
It is obvious that reasonable dieting is really good for a health. First, if you diet oneself, you avoid many chronic health risks such as: obesity, heart diseases, diabetes, cancer. Second, if you diet, you try have a healthy life style and be moderate in everything. Moreover, as a rule, people who have dieting feel happier about their appearance, often have a good mood and have an ideal weight, which is very important.
However, some people focus on the negative side of dieting. On the contrary, they want to eat sweets, fried or junk food. Besides, they believe that if you have a dieting, you must follow a schedule of a day but it is nearly impossible while you are at work, very often it brings more harm than good.
Sometimes, it is hard to disagree with them. Nevertheless, I do not agree with them quite, because Enjoyment you get from bad food is not worth your health.
To sum up, diet is a real challenge to people. It actually depends on us. Whether to find more positive or negative aspects, for me a diet is a part of happy and healthy life, so " Prevention is better than cure".

Thank you for your recent letter. I’m awfully sorry for not writing to you earlier, I had so many tasks at school that I had very little free time.
You’ve written that you are also busy doing a project at school. I’ve always thought it might be interesting to know about reading habits of people all over the world.
You ask what books my family and I like reading. In general, Russian people are a reading nation and so we are. To be honest, I’m not reading much this year as I’m preparing for the final exams, but mostly I choose fantasy books. My mother enjoys reading detective stories while my father prefers historic literature.
I’m so glad for your sister. Pass my congratulations to her, please. Is her husband British? What does he do? Where do they live?

Do you know what you eat?
INTRODUCTION
Fast food is very popular and saves time for busy working people. However, many experts say that it is not completely healthy. McDonald's is the leading global foodservice retailer serving millions of people in more than 100 countries each day. McDonald's restaurants sell what is called "fast" or "junk" food — hamburgers, chips and so on. Such food is very popular, especially with children and teenagers.
MAIN BODY
On the one hand This food is tasty, cheap and ubiquitous. What is more, going to McDonald's saves much time and effort. I don't have to go to a supermarket, prepare meals and wash the dishes when I eat out. Besides, I like the holiday atmosphere of McDonald's. There I can relax, enjoy the food and celebrate some event with my friends and relatives.
On the other hand experts say that fast food makes people overweight and even obese and elevates the risk of diabetes and cancer. Moreover, if your food includes hamburgers, chips, hot dogs, pizzas and fizzy drinks like Coke, Pepsi, Sprite and others, you are facing a serious problem threatening your health. Such food is full of chemical additives. For example, a can of Coke contains about eight teaspoons of sugar and artificial sweeteners. Lastly, there is a risk of food poisoning.
CONCLUSION
To sum it up, in my opinion we should think more about our health. We should try to avoid fast food and eat more fruit and vegetables. Those people who don't care about what they eat may face serious problems. So let's remember about our health and make the right choice.
