Where did jazz appear? Jazz emerged in the early twentieth century, when black musicians from New Orleans began trying to play on the European musical instruments. In the first place it was wind instruments, then piano and guitar. New rhythms, harmonies and recent unexpected sound of traditional instruments attracted great public interest in jazz and made it very popular in America and Europe,in twenties, thirties. The heart of jazz - African-American genres and musical culture spirituals and blues.

The directions of jazz There are more than thirty kinds of jazz. We can say that the most basic are : Blues - song and instrumental genre of African-American music.
