My name is Slava . I am twelve. I am from Russia. My home city is Ekaterinburg. I go to school and have many friends. I am very sociable.

My parents ‘ names are Natalya and Eugene. My father is a manager and he likes his work very much. His hobby is collecting coins. My mother is a house wife. She likes to cook. My sister’s name is Nastya . She is eleven and she goes to school too. Nastya is collecting cards.

As I am very sociable, I have many friends . I like to play football with them. My friends are also schoolboys . Usually we walk together after school and talk about different questions .

My school is Number 67. It’s a large three-stored building with a canteen and a huge gym. It was built before the Second World War. We not only study at school but spend there our free time.

My favourite school subject is English. English is an international language . It is always interesting to communicate with the foreigners when I travel abroad. English helps me do it.

My hobbies are snowboarding and karate. It’s so breathtaking to slide from the mountain slopes! Usually I like to ski at the weekends. And I go to karate twice a week. These trainings improve health and make physically fit.

It is always necessary to be fit. That’s why I go in for sports. The Englishmen say ”An apple a day keeps the doctor away”, so I eat fruits every day.

As I go in for sport quite professionally , I’ve already achieved certain results. For example, I took part in different competitions and won silver medals in karate.

As for me I have many plans for the future. For example, it would be interesting to have two diplomas of higher education…..

It’s always interesting to know something new about other cultures and people. I have already been to many countries. Sometimes it’s better to lie in the beach and get sunburnt, to Breathe in clean sea air.

But sometimes it’s interesting to visit European countries, to get acquainted with their traditions and customs, to walk along the streets and to see the sights.
